Cargo Divider?

I installed the Bakflip MX4 today, and the "Mopar" Cargo Divider.

First and foremost.......I find it dumb as hell that they didn't just use the existing rails to slide on - as mentioned by others.

As for it not fitting, it.......took some work, but I got it.

So, fitment - we installed the top first, then moved to the divider. The divider rails basically sit right on the clamps for the MX4. The front is SO close, I had to pull the clamp off, mount the rail, then put the clamp back on (which was tight as hell).

Doable, yes. Little bit of extra time, sure - but worth it. Interesting setup, I like it - can't wait to haul some groceries I guess.

So glad you got this to fit, maybe I will go back to this setup (MX4/Cargo Divider). GEN5 forum said it would not fit, nice to see it actually does! Any other tips.. Would it have been easier to mount the divider first?

You can certainly put the divider in first, but.....it will make putting the clamps on for the MX4 hard as hell. I simply removed the front clamp (towards cab) - mounted the rails, then put the clamp back on. I had to take the clamp all the way apart, then basically smash it up in there (front part) then put the rear of the clamp on, then the washer, nut and then bolt it back on.

tight, VERY tight, but again - doable. Happy it was....I didn't want to repack all that crap in the box to return it. lol

I’m looking for one too. I have the Retrax pro Xr tonneau, but need a storage/cargo solution.
Please let me know if you find a divider that will work with the Retrax, that is one of the covers I am considering.

@RetroShop I'm about to purchase the MX4 and Mopar bed divider...I hope I can get them installed together like you did.

Mopar bed divider pops right in. Only takes 20-30 min (if they give you all the right hardware). Mine was missing a 1/4-20 locknut, but they gave me an extra truss head sheet metal screw. And although one of those is called out on the exploded view, I have no idea where it goes.

Anyone with this bed divider figure out where to install this screw? (Called out as #14)

And as far as quality, I'm less than impressed with the rigidity of this thing. It IS lightweight (every pound counts in our trucks), but feels flimsy. I was expecting something along the lines of the cargo rails stiffness along either side, but this ain't it. If an aftermarket company makes a beefier one, I'm trading up. A ratchet strap could probably pull this thing apart. Not really what it's meant for, but it rides in a TRUCK bed, not a Prius, and should be able to take a little punishment.

I installed this bed divider yesterday. I can’t figure out where screw #14 goes either. I even looked up an old version of the instructions (from 2017)…the screw is on those also, and also no indication where it goes.

I had the roll-n-lock cover installed about 3 weeks back by a truck accessory store. I wish I had bought and had them install the matching divider. Anyway, I purchased and received the divider this week. I am going to attempt to install it this weekend. It looks easy enough, I hope I don't have any issues?

This past weekend I installed the BAKflip MX4 with the Mopar Bed Divider. Both my MX4 and Bed Divider were produced in April 2021 so I received the most current hardware that they're shipping with these accessories. The Bed Divider attaches to the truck's utility rails which are not parallel to the trucks top bed rail (there's more space between them at the rear of the truck and less at the front). The rear MX4 cover-clamps cleared the Bed Divider rail by about 1/4". The center MX4 cover-clamps were right against the Bed Divider rail TIGHT...I mean TIGHT. The front MX4 cover-clamps would not fit...the Bed Divider rail was in the way by about 1/4". For these front cover-clamps, BAKflip says to clamp them 6" to 9" from the front of the cover...I had to move them about 2" from the front so they would be in front of the Bed Divider rails.

I installed the bed extender with the Mopar flip hard cover and utilize it as a divider as well the only down side is you can't slide it to the front of the bed which I don't mind‼️ drills into the bed so doesn't interfere with rails or cover‼️ Also easy to remove and put back‼️ ( Mopar Bed Extender)

The little screw goes on the side near the end of the cross piece (#13?). It secures the two pieces together so that they do not slide apart. They should really provide 2 of them, one for each end. See below.

The Mopar bed divider (Mopar 82215481) will fit any newer Ram 1500 DT with the bed utility rails since it bolts directly to them. This Mopar bed divider will NOT work with Roll-n-Lock tonneau covers as the canister is in the way. If you have or get a Roll-n-Lock tonneau (any series) you have to buy the Roll-n-Lock bed divider (RNL CM401) which attaches to the Roll-n-Lock bed rails from the tonneau cover. The side brackets are also shorter to account for the canister and since it connects to the Roll-n-Lock side rails a not the Mopar utility rails, the divider itself is also wider.

Soooo, I have a Mopar bed divider (82215481) NIB for sale!

Yeah, that one is for a truck with the RamBox’s. The Mopar OEM one will fit. I have one NIB for sale but I’m in Texas.
