Two years ago, I snagged this beast with an 11% discount off MSRP from Chapman and embarked on a journey from Pennsylvania to Florida. Having owned an array of vehicles throughout my life—from luxury and sports cars to beaters, both manual and automatic, as well as electric, diesel, cars with carburetors, and turbo engines—I can confidently say the TRX combines it all. It's astonishingly fast, powerful, comfortable, surprisingly reliable, functional, and safe. Although it's not my everyday car, I've clocked 30,000 miles in just two years. It's our top pick for road trips or navigating through Florida's torrential rains. While there's no snow here, rain can drastically reduce some drivers' skills to zero—I'll refrain from mentioning which states they're from to avoid causing depression, anxiety, panic attacks, change of sex and whatever a comment cause this days. If you own a TRX, cherish it. It's uncertain when or if a car of this caliber will hit the market again. It feels like the revival of a bygone era from the 70s. If this renaissance occurs again 50 years from now, I'll likely be watching from the netherworld.
