Terrible story from Houston

These offenders should all be exonerated. They're what we call "trans-licensed"...they identify as licensed drivers, and we should all accept this and include them in our society.

Sounds like this Texas TRX Bus dude was trying to play up a lifestyle and the lifestyle and lack of funds caught up with him.
Similar story with a builder we had. Luckily he finished our house, but he bailed on others. Spent there construction loan funds and left them with nothing. Huge PIA for others. Plenty of court cases against him. Was living a big lifestyle, didn’t pay his crews and then it all eventually caught up to him. On top of that, he was then the center of money laundering scandal with a few politicians…

I had family in Houston when I was young. My cousin was around 8 years old when his friend, of the same age was stabbed to death. I have never went back to Houston based solely on this. My cousin and I are in our late 50's so that occured before the world was a bad place but I crossed Houston off my list for good. It was rare to see a child murdered back then.
Im sorry for your loss. I’m not sure what’s worse, the murder that took place 50 yrs ago or the fact that it’s very common today. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I didn’t dig into the weeds and check for specific age of victims but the overall homicide rates are lower now than 50 years ago. I think the perception of things being worse is here because when terrible crimes happen we all know in a pretty short period of time. Case in point, if this guy had burned his truck and walked away in Houston 50 years ago no one outside of the city would likely ever know.

I'm still not going there...lol...

It's not so bad in Houston you just don't go out after dark.
I am sure DFW is as bad or close to it but we don't really leave our little area which has everything we need and the homes, restaurants and other activities are too pricey for much riff-raff.

Actually, we stay home a lot since we quit drinking 8 or 9 months ago and try to take a vacation every 6 weeks or so. Mainly to our cabin where we also stay away from people and just play in the forest.

Friendly reminder to double check your own insurance against UIM.
Sadly, with inflation and the cost of living out of control, it’s going to be more common place for people to stop paying on these types of things.
I may not be able to afford my own TRX before long. Granted;), I could have saved 10k in parts that I probably don't need if I had of never joined this forum. Oh what the heck....I am going to buy more parts....

Not sure if this has been posted yet but sounds like a fellow owner may be in serious trouble or worse...

More news to follow I'm sure.
