Out in Vegas for March madness, decided to take a trip to Area 51….always been fascinated with military aviation and the mystery of the base. Ton of fun driving the truck around out here. Actually got to see the famous “camo dudes” ant the gates and have breakfast at the little A’Le’Inn.

Two questions though:

1 - anyone else notice when in auto drive mode, driving a dirt road at highway speed, the truck feels very “floaty”….almost a hydroplane sensation? The minute I turn on Baja mode, traction control goes off and it actually feels more stable at higher speeds. Seems counterintuitive for traction control to cause that symptom.

2 - on my way back from Tikaboo Peak, literally the last boulder I had to get past in some very tight spots, it came up and knocked the lower rear plastic fender just in front of the rear tire out of place on the passenger side. Looks like I might be able to force it to snap back in place, but already a plastic clip broke off trying that….so I don’t want to push it. Anyone know the part number and or how I can get it off? See pic, all I have for now, I’ll have to get more later.

Yea I’ve had that piece get knocked loose from rocks a handful of times. I’ve just forced it back into place luckily

That floaty feeling isnt traction control. It is the lack of suspension rebound dampening. Baja seams to increase the rebound dampening. I feel like street suspension setting(default in auto mode) runs in a bypass state. Try running the truck in auto mode but set suspension to Baja in settings. See if that floating feeling goes away.
