Diamondback HD - RAM purchase

Hi All,

I have been researching tonneau covers quite a bit, seeing which may be the most secure and reliable for my purposes and think I finally settled on the Diamondback HD. — wow, that was a process A few great Threads on here about the in’s and outs of all I’ve considered…

Now that I want to actually click “add to cart/buy” RAM is gone as an option!! Anhhhhh



I know an order will go nowhere if placed in the next few days and it will take weeks to get, but am I missing something?

To make sure it wasn’t a browser issue I tried a few devices, then laptops, no difference.

RAM did appear as an option until about noon ET, 12/23. Then the above….. err

I am torn, by the way - between the smooth black newest revision, vs the tradditional rugged black coated diamond plate. Love diamond plate..

Someone have a reseller suggestion to order one from?

The two I talked to would order it but did not have the latest “smooth black” revision.

I wonder which would look better on my White 23 TRX to match the NEW, faster LVL 2 Gloss Black door handles, and faster fugly Black trunk tailgate handle, now included ?? lol

Just went on the site. Looks like they moved it to the dodge section. If you click on dodge it will bring up 1500 all the way to 2023 then gives you the option for the 5'7 bed length.

I am with you and have it in my cart. Probably a glitch. Also torn between diamond plate and smooth finish. Our black 23 should arrive in the next month or two here. Tool bars and cross bin 13" are also in the cart.

I am going to be getting a DECKED Toolbox system when my TRX arrives. Initially, I was planning on getting the diamondback too...then said forget it....Now after seeing the smooth finished one....I am debating it again.

I emailed them after 5pm yesterday when I could no longer find RAM, and they replied about an hour ago to tell me the cover’s location, and to let them know if I had any other questions. Given the holiday I am surprised they followed up so fast

Good first Impression anyway for customer service, figured I’d share.

That thing is fugly but if you need it so you can load heavy stuff on it, I guess it's OK.

All day long, I prefer my Lomax Trifold. Inexpensive, zero leaks, low profile and just looks good.

Love the Black truck. I almost ordered that color..

I placed my order for the Diamondback HD with a few accessories, (smooth black finish) after getting sick of overthinking it.

I also got an Engine Block heater (not typically necessary ) for the truck (why the hell not for 95 bucks), and it’s presently 14 degrees F here in MA, with low’s appearing to be near 6 degrees F.

I will go to hell for making this thing live outside

I hate black as a color for vehicles which explains why my last 4 were black...

Q5s, X5M, CLC63s and GLE63s.

I hooked up my battery charger last night since mine lives outside. Probably doesn't matter at all but...I had it and never used it

I’ve had a few Corvettes including a Black 99 Coupe with Corsa Exaust and headers. That thing was fun!

Honestly, I have always owned an Audi no matter what else my play cars have been. Just good, reliable vehicles besides my RS3 that I over built. In my defense, it was never beat on the street

If the deal goes south on the TRX, I’ll ask Santa for an Audi RSQ8, fully loaded - even with night vision

I regret not buying the RS5 in 2015, and getting… wait for it, no you already know… the V8!!!

I kick myself daily for not just getting the RS

I had the diamondplate finish on my diamondback HD for my TRD Pro and got the smooth finish for my TRX. Definitely prefer the smooth. Can’t go wrong with either - best cover available
