AMG to TRX

We met the other afternoon. We were out looking at houses in the Benbrook area. After we left, I was kicking myself for not telling you about this forum. I'm glad you found it. I'm on it everyday, even though I don't yet have my truck. Hopefully soon. This is a great group.
Holy cow, I was kicking myself for not getting your contact info after we met. You, me and the families seem to be from the same fabric so we would love to stay in touch. I will PM you my cell and I can take you out to Defender's and shoot some Clay if you are into that.

I installed the On Rhino running boards at lunch today. Seems like it should take 32 minutes but it took me about 2 hours. I think they look great.

Well, I decided to read the installation instructions this morning since I installed the running boards yesterday and it turns out, I put them on backwards. The instructions clearly state that the Rhino logo should be at the rear....

Ughhh...I never look at instructions but I probably should...

I've seen a bunch of pics of other trucks with them put on backwards intentionally so if you like it that way it's not a problem.

Two vehicles ago I had a 2019 AMG GLC 63s and loved it, but I will say that my TRX is a better fit especially with the aftermarket mods. My TRX definitely feels more special although at the time my AMG felt pretty special. I have the Level 2 and IE package so I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything luxury wise from my AMG. Plus the infotainment system is a whole lot better in the TRX. I've definitely have spent a whole lot more on my TRX than my AMG, but I don't regret it one bit. Congrats on your purchase and definitely do some performance mods! 😁

I too, last September, sold my 2019 AMG S63, bad ass ride, I admit. Although it was under warranty it was in the shop every other month. The last time it was in the shop, Mercedes found some small bullshit print to avoid paying the last repair, 1k. I fixed it and immediately traded for a TRX, bad ass truck. I don't regret it, one bit. What I do regret, however, is not doing proper research and i purchased a Level 1 instead of Level 2. Took me some time to get use to not having HUD, passive entry, panoramic roof and sensors. In a rich man's world ,I'd like to have both, lol.

Yep, now that I dumped a lot of money in mine, I wish I had of researched it more and got a L2. I didn't know I would like it so much and want to keep it.

I had an AMG CLS 63S before The TRX. I had it tuned by one of the best AMG tuners in the country. My wife and I even visited AMG in Affalterbach Germany and met the guy who signed my engine. I was really a Fan.

Always ran good fuel and rarely stomped on it. After the 3rd WOT pull that kicked me into limp mode from cylinder misfires, I too saw the writing on the wall. Made the switch and have been happy since.

I love the BiGAZZ, BADAZZ Red TRX. my dog likes it sooo much better too.

Welcome to the group.

I have always used Eurocharged for AMGs.

I was running E85 blend and I think it ended up hurting the fuel system at some point.

I was IG friend's with the builder of my motor but never met him in person.

I got a reminder that I wasn't at the AMG dealership when I had the oil changed in the TRX this morning. I had to get a bottled coffee out of the vending machine and then I tried to buy a Pop-Tart out of the machine but it was $4.50 so I gave up.;)

It's funny how this almost year old thread gained some life again. My TRX is all scratched, beat up and taller now.
