Past few days I've been putting on the miles to work through the break- in procedure. The first 100 miles sucked ass. Staying below 3500 rpm and 55 mph was tedious.
100-300 miles was much better allowing 5000 rpm and 70 mph. This part of the break-in procedure allowed interstate/freeway travel.
300-500 miles became stupid fun. Only requirements was to stay below 85 mph and conduct all shifting using the paddles (manual mode). From the manual I quote "Excercise the full engine RPM range". And boy did I. I was actually looking for stop signs and stop light so I can properly do my workout.
Once I hit 500 miles I couldn't resist the urge to launch her. At 503 miles I let her rip and holy shit what a feeling. Think I got a little mahogany wood from the experience. This truck is everything and then some. I'm truly in love.
I'm so glad I was able to acquire the Sandblast Edition. It's the perfect color for SW Oklahoma. We always have wind blowing dust and shit everywhere and the only way you can see that it's even dirty is by looking at the windows. A quick wipe off and she looks clean again.
