Sandblast Ram TRX Photo Thread

Past few days I've been putting on the miles to work through the break- in procedure. The first 100 miles sucked ass. Staying below 3500 rpm and 55 mph was tedious.

100-300 miles was much better allowing 5000 rpm and 70 mph. This part of the break-in procedure allowed interstate/freeway travel.

300-500 miles became stupid fun. Only requirements was to stay below 85 mph and conduct all shifting using the paddles (manual mode). From the manual I quote "Excercise the full engine RPM range". And boy did I. I was actually looking for stop signs and stop light so I can properly do my workout.

Once I hit 500 miles I couldn't resist the urge to launch her. At 503 miles I let her rip and holy shit what a feeling.😵‍💫 Think I got a little mahogany wood from the experience. This truck is everything and then some. I'm truly in love.😍

I'm so glad I was able to acquire the Sandblast Edition. It's the perfect color for SW Oklahoma. We always have wind blowing dust and shit everywhere and the only way you can see that it's even dirty is by looking at the windows. A quick wipe off and she looks clean again.😉

This is going to look nice with my 509 Tactical in FDE in the console. Getting antsy and I shouldn't cause Ive been through this process already to know better hahahaha
There's lots of nooks and crannies all over the place for that. There's a storage area just to the right of the seat along the side of the center console that comfortably houses my TRP.👍

whats surprising is the Ram Bar ... no build sheet shows this as an option and this truck looks like a new vehicle transport to a dealer ... based on the other new ram trucks onboard ... not a sold unit heading to someone out of state ...

I thought I read that there were 2 standard configurations of Sandblast trucks and the 2nd run is supposed to have the RamBar and trailer steering or something like that.

No, second run is trailer steering and running boards. I’ve seen no build sheets with ram bar, so this def seems odd

what's up with those red lights on the rear under the tailgate? I just got my Sandblast and don't have those. I wonder if its going over seas?

That is almost sexy enough for me to leave my Granite order and buy one of the Sandblasts up here... Almost. 🍻

Yeah good eye. I think I read somewhere that some places overseas require that lighting.

so does that mean they're actually making more than 1,000 units total ... or 1,000 units total including oversea's units .... l'm hoping for the latter ...

My Sandblast is just sitting in “I” status. Reckon that means they found some shit wrong and it is awaiting repair. Anyone experience this? Really wondering if I should pull the trigger on another sandblast that’s already on the train in route to dealer not far from me. Whoever said patience is a virtue is a POS. #puckfatience

Mine is sitting at the New Boston rail yard for the past 10 days…

10 days just sitting there? Just waiting on rail or what?
Yep, waiting on a train to Nashville. Then from Nashville a truck to my dealer, then into my grubby hands so I can be 16 again!!!

Alright, here's some more Sandblaster porn. Decided to take a nature drive and strolled through the wildlife refuge. Can you say Buffalo. Enjoy!
