Hello,

Does anyone know if the huge RAM badging on the tailgate is just glued on or if there are holes in the tailgate to "bolt" the lettering into place? I'm getting the truck this weekend and taking it to get PPF'd and coated and would love to remove the giant RAM lettering on the tailgate. My installer was going to look into it but I figured I'd ask here as well. Anyone know?

Thanks!

There are many locating holes per letter.

I believe there are 17 holes total and they are all different sizes and shapes. Being an aluminum tailgate, this is not an easy fix.

Does anyone know the part numbers for the replacement letters? I’m sure each letter has its own part number.

Speaking of the tailgate, it would also be awesome if someone could instruct the people putting on the rear TRX badging so that they can actually get it straight. I swear, I've only see one or two with it on straight. That is, unless they mean for it to look crooked. I thought about pulling it off and straightening, but it seemed like it would be difficult to do without damaging the paint or the badge.

Instead of the RAM , they should have made it TRX in the big letters and left off any other badging on tailgate. I have seen that a couple people went through the trouble of removing and filling the holes but to me it didn’t look as good as I thought it would.

Hit up @BigRay He was making TRX emblem that replaces the RAM.

His stuff is top notch

Or this is an option in many colors for about $50.00.

Ok, I’ll bite…… every one paints their truck Ignition Orange?, so they don’t notice the huge black RAM badging right out the gate?

My second guess is……. Slightly smaller font ?

Here’s what I did to make it stand out. Retroshop can do whatever color you want but they’re pricey. Takes a few weeks depending on when they can get the badging based on back orders. But they do a fantastic job and worth it in my opinion.

Are those coverings or a new letters?

They’re new letters. Retroshop orders OEM badges, disassembles them if they can, paints them how you want with automotive paint and clear coat.
