RAM TRX W RAM BAR TONNEAU COVER OPTIONS

I have read previous threads on this and sounds like the Retrax Pro is best suited for use with the Ram bar. However, anyone recently done this with any updates on new screws needed etc to clear the tonneau cover edges? I saw some original posts where some said just leave the screws out on the inside and the ones on outside still keep bar in place.....has anyone done this? I would assume would get water in the predrilled holes but maybe not? Do you need to put any plugs in them or anything? This seems easier than trying to get certain stainless screws or recoated ones? Looking for any updates on this topic?

Also, anyone put the mopar lights on top of bar? Im assuming it will not fit through my 8ft high garage door?

You need to change all the screws on the Rambar as the Hex screw is to high and will allow water in

The flat head is a easy fix 20 minutes and your done

Unless your lights are more than a foot taller than the Rambar, you will have no problem fitting into an 8’ garage.

Did you find black flat screws or just used stainless steel?

Where did you get the inside bed extender?

Will the lights fit in your garage or no? Did dealership install them or elsewhere?

Your truck is just how i wanted it. Just wasnt sure how to do it

Your truck is just how i wanted it. Just wasnt sure how to do it

That's the Retrax PowertraxPRO XR no problems with the cover if you don't install it correctly it can come off the track so you need to follow the instructions to the tee The main thing so it doesn't fall off the track is the space between the rail and the bed door As long as that's correct you won't have an issue

I tagged you in a link above to show the process with the screws and what size they are from home depot

The bed extender is from Mopar your local dealership

I installed the lights myself is pretty easy My truck doesn't fit in my garage I'm currently relocating to another state so I will make sure the new house has a garage that will fit my truck

Who did the tonneau cover? You or elsewhere? So does it work off remote only or is there a switch in truck ?

I do all the work to my truck myself

The cover works off a remote but I also have it program to work with the garage buttons on the visor

I had It on for a year and recently removed it

I started not to like it cause it was for earlier 1500 model Rams not the TRX although it fit I didn't like the look anymore

Funny. Yeah i always do the window rain things too but everyone says how it ruins the tint. Mine a little scratched on my tundra but minimal.

Cool. Looks sweet man. I keep asking the truck places here about installing the tonneau with ram bar and no one has done it. Im not sure im good enough to do the cover myself with the wiring etc. although there are some videos on it on you tube.

Every time I see pictures of your truck it makes me want those oracle lights so bad! I can’t wait to at least drive my truck before I start going crazy with trying to do stuff to it.

Will the 30mm screws fit on sides or 35mm best? Were there washers you needed as well to install? I dont have the ram bar in front of me...remember? Also, how many of each?

45mm is the the length of the screw for the top screws

30 or 35mm is the length of the side screws as the top is longer than the side

The important part other than length is the width of the screw which is M8 1.25

So you need M8 1.25 45MM on top

M8 1.25 30 OR 35MM on the side
