King 3.0’s?

You not a fan of the factory shocks?

If I were to consider the aftermarket I would go with Fox over King, but the fact is Bilstein is the king of Shocks on a global basis and unless your a hard core off roader, no way you will out drive the OEM set-up.

I guess if I didn't want the factory Bilsteins with active valving, I would not be buy a TRX. I have great experience with both Fox and King.

the bilsteins might be slightly undersized imo, and going with a 3" shaft wouldn't have been a bad thing for FCA to have considered for the type of truck and total curb weight.

Now going with King, bilstein, fox.....
I think at the level, when your doing custom suspension setup; they are all pretty equal. So go with ones with the best customer service, what your local shop works with, and which vendor the shop has a good working relationship with; would be my advice.

Totally agree, unless you’re some sponsored racer.💁🏻‍♂️

Is this what you're referring to? Took these pics at SEMA last week.

thanks mate!! Unfortunately i cant get any information from anyone who's currently running's them... They just want 9K with zero info/zero lead time info lol
what info are you looking for? I talked to the king rep about this setup and he told me 4-6 months from order date which seems a little ambitious considering most custom kings are 8 months out.

i got anywhere from 4-12 months. But i expected that just like everything else.
-is the on the fly valving going to be a thing for kings? not a big deal but id like to know before i buy the standard shocks.
also would the live shock valving be a complete game changer?
-on road characteristics?
stock truck is terrible so im assuming better?
-obviously don't need an off road comparison. lol
-this is my first ifs truck, can i adjust the front coil overs to level the tuck without sacrificing ride quality?
-how loud are the rear bypasses in the cab?
a video would be great!

Just curious. Why do you think the on road characteristics of stock truck is horrible. What are you coming from and expecting?

IMO* feels like im driving my g/f's normal 1500. I was hoping a little more firmer. Sport mode is to firm, just doesn't hit right. Never owed a raptor so i cant compare on road with them.
If i talk about my f-350 Carli pintop, this forum would cry about no way it rides close to the same on road so im not going too. This is MY opinion, just saying. to your last point, I wasn't expecting anything decent with stock shocks, so i was already prepared.

It’s the one thing that sucks about these shocks. Bilstein said they will not be making rebuild kits for them. So unless someone sends a set to shock seals then I don’t think we will be able to rebuild them.

Which also means we won’t be able to adjust the valving.

I’m intimately familiar with spool valves and those are the absolute worst to try to change. You need a cnc machine that can build cups and then you just test test test.
But the valve stack and piston on the main shaft is going to relate to any remote comp and remote rebound shock tune adjustment.

But who knows that the size is, if the piston has been tack welded on, if it’s even able to be removed to build a new shim stack etc etc.

And then find someone who is willing to go do some testing…

Hence going to the kings or the rumored ADS. Infinite adjustability and rebuild options. And you can make it ride how ever you want.

Robby woods said he and king are working on using kings electronic adjusters to make the kings play with the oem computer but it’s going to be a bit.
Probably 2023 SEMA
