I drive mine around town for no reason almost daily lol. Just take it for a 10 mile run around town. every few days. I find it relaxing.

What gear where you in?
Does it show what gear you are in when in auto? I only see it when I am in M. Didn't notice what gear I was in.
You can set it up to show what gear you are in in the Evic...look to the right of “D”
I will have to play around with the settings. It only shows it there when I am in M or press the paddles while in drive.
