Hi Guys,

Just picked up the TRX last week. I'm looking to get a tool kit to leave in the car. Does anyone have a good set of tools that they think fit nicely in the interior likely under the rear seats?

Thanks in advance

I have one of these in my truck at all times.

Great set but two problems: It won't fit in the floor storage and it bangs against everything when I take corners at 60+ mph :ROFLMAO:

Not a terrible one considering it easily fits under the back seat and has some useful items

I generally piece my tool bag contents together to fit the particular vehicle, but haven't got to put one together specifically for the TRX yet.

It'll have basic wrenches and sockets, plus the normal things like zip ties, Rescue Tape, "Ford wire", etc.
And obviously a Torx set.

Don't know if you'd consider them tools, but an extinguisher, first aid kit, compressor, and Safety Seal kit. are standard fair for me.

Oh, and maybe more importantly for modern vehicles, a code reader. Often bring enough to use the AlfaOBD, too.

I’m fully digital. NOCO booster pack, code reader, IR temp gun, inflator. Isn’t much more you can really use on the side of the road to get you home, in my opinion. Not like you can adjust carb or set the points. Chrysler can come pick it up.

Which inflator do you keep in the truck? Looking for quality over price.

We’re all at the mercy of electronics. Whether it’s cell service or the dozens of modules that can brick the truck without warning.

I carry what I think is reasonable, given that basically all of the issues I’ve experienced with newer vehicles are electrical. A 1000 piece tool set wouldn’t do anyone a bit of good when the gremlins come out.

I have this one. Not necessarily because it’s the best, but I was already in the Dewalt ecosystem. And it does work well. It’ll run up to 80 psi on my trailer tires no problem. I keep a 5Ah battery in it, but it does run on 12 VDC too.

Yeah, we're definitely at the mercy of the electronics (which is one reason I usually bring the AlfaOBD stuff), but there are still mechanical things that can and do go wrong.

Take the poor guy who had a front axle shaft come loose, for example. I'd hate to have to give up just because I couldn't remove the remnants and limp home, or at least somewhere, in 2WD.

If nothing else, as a rule, if I have it I usually don't need it.

Doesn't TRX come with a Safety Tool & First aid ⛑️ kit ? See Doug Demuro TRX review of a Hydro Blue 🔵 Pearl 2021 TRX Hellcat RAM truck.
Only English and Arabic on front cover.... With Baja you would recommend Spanish ....

Hmmm still looking for mine ... anyone know where they store ?
Nothing under seats .... Glove box too small.... Center consoles top and bottom... nada!...

$293 for 3 pack including battery and it's charging system @ California Home Depot...

This is probably one of the most universal tool rolls that will fit under the back seat and is loaded with good stuff over all.
