Getting Fed Up

Philly, yeah I've had numerous B and E body Mopar's over the years. collector cars are my thing.

When it comes to rigs I use I buy mostly Ford because the only dealership in my county is a Ford dealer, and I much prefer the Super Duty to the other makes . for the TRX though I'm not paying an extra 50k for a Raptor R , and I'm not sure I like it any better anyway.

As far as this deal goes I get waiting, I've ordered 15 rigs now I never buy off the lot. waiting is fine until it's built, my gripe is there's a problem and it's getting bigger by the day and rather than let on what it is they keep lying to us on our delivery date. yeah I'll survive, but it pisses me off.

Maybe it's going to go back to like ancient Egypt where when the Pharaoh's son was born his tomb/pyramid construction was started so hopefully it was finished before his death. Maybe we should start ordering cars for our kids or grandkids now🤔🤔

I was looking at the Raport R too but with a starting MSRP of 109K plus dealer markup there is only so much I can afford. I'm a huge Ford fan, just sold my 2018 F150 Platinum in hopes my TRX arrives. Driving a beater 2007 Silverado in the short term.

I found a way to not go crazy during this time of waiting ( ordered 8/23 ) . Once a week or so I will buy something for the truck (that I do not have) . I then focus on getting another accessory and my wait is only a week or so then jump back on here, find some more vendors selling cool stuff and do it again! Time seems to have flown right by and I have a garage full of cool stuff when my truck arrives.
Yep. I do the same thing. Took me a good 45 days to pick out tires/wheels/bumpers/lights etc. I'm basically done now, so now get everything in and inspected. The holidays will sink time too.

i didn't mention anything about Sandblast and I don't know why you're so angry about it.
ewps, wrong quote, but also:

The wait is certainly excruciating. I waited almost 8 months for my '22, and that is after it went D1 (scheduled) about 2 months in. But days after going D1, the Sandblast hit, making the last 6 months of the wait extremely painful. Especially waiting back while you got to see all the Sandblasts jump the line, the fed continuing to raise rates, and the used car(trade-in) market drop. Stellantis really needs to do a better job with scheduling. I'd love to say the wait is worth it, but man do they make that wait as painful as possible.
Fuck the sandblasts

Your welcome!
I have the S&B CAI in my basement and have a J&L Catch Can ordered....it's a good practice.

any solid answer?...and hello from Kennett Square, PA.
Hello! Actually they did respond and said they would see what could be done. It was a member on here that I haven’t seen in a while. This was around October of 21.
How’s mushroom country? Haven’t been down there in a while.

Hang in there. I waited 6 months for mine and like the others have said it’s worth the wait.

Well we are all hoping for the best. I'm hoping for good news any day on my 23 TRX but I'm stuck waiting for it to ship for now. Mushroom Country is good. I work for a warehouse / transportation company so we are right in the middle of it. Smell it every day.

OK, so I'm going to rant a little and maybe it will make me feel better, I'm not sure, but here goes.
Its been almost 4 months since I ordered my 23 TRX. I dont mind the waiting, and I know some have waited and are waiting even longer. However, I'm getting fed up with all of the set backs and and excuses for the long wait. I'm not sure other car manufacturers put their customers through the same thing, but it just seems like there arent any real concrete facts coming from anyone these days, especially the dealers about what is really going on. First its the production that keeps getting extended, then its the inconsistencies of what VIN numbers are produced first, then its an issue with the colors being produced, then its the possible rail strike that can hold things up, and now its maybe the dash clusters are to blame! I understand that these are "specialty" vehicles and Ford is even worse, but damn, we are 2 weeks away from 2024 and not one damn 23 TRX has been delivered? At this point the unknown factor is much more frustrating than the wait. Heck, the wait and anticipation can actually be fun, but not knowing when the hell you may get the vehicle you ordered and not being able to properly plan for its arrival, is really getting to me. It seems even when a delivery date is given it gets pushed up and no one really knows why. At this point I think I will wait until some time in January and then make a decision on whether to pull the plug on my order. I know I'm just spiting myself at that point and no one cares, especially Stellantis whether I actually purchase a TRX, but it will at least give me some satisfaction in my own mind, that I was in control of the final decision!
I'm sure many on here waiting feel the same way, and believe me, I sympathize with all of you. Others might say that it will be worth the wait. It may be worth the wait, and like I said, I'm willing to wait, but give me as a consumer, some damn answers!
I feel your pain sir. I order a 21 the day the Mopar announced it on TV I believe it was 8/30/20 The dealer delivered it my house on 4/20 /21 ( 7 months ) .I was so excited
I then order a 22 on 09/12/22 and the dealer deliver it to my house on

On 5/15/22 ( 8 Months ) I still have it now . I not going to order a 23 but I will be ordering a 24 for sure from all I can read that it will be the last year the TRX will have the 6.2 SC engine . I had an awesome time with them both. Love the Trucks. Thanks

Whole reason I started my channel was frustration over all this nonsense trying to get any info on an order and waiting months. So now being connected to plant, I hear of all the nonsense going on in the plant and its a miracle they trucks out now.

But dealer reps and higher ups at the plant know exactly what week your order will be made, it's given a build week once you get a VIN. I think it's dumb they don't give you that date and a disclaimer that date can change based on production issues. Instead of this nonsense of not having any idea when you truck is going to come.

I waited almost 7 months for my truck and luckily for me a source was able to give me dozens of peoples build when I had the ability to do so back then.

Actually, even if my TRX that's just sitting there shows up on the expected delivery date I'll have waited 5 months. so it's not like we haven't waited at all. and that's best case scenario.

You probably don’t know this, but buying accessories for a TRX drastically reduces the chances of receiving said TRX.
I bought several accessories for an ordered Rebel last year. Never got the Rebel. Sold off half of the stuff, the rest is sitting in my garage so my wife has something to bitch about.

I'm sure I am going to be joining many in JS Hell very soon as a result 😅

Wow! So they really schedule the minute the VIN is generated?

Yeah. That's how they coordinate with venders to have your parts at the plant by a certain week.

Basic breakdown is your order gets a VIN, assigned a week to get built. At some point the request goes out to the vendors. Then 2 weeks before your build week, your status code changes to D1. Parts are sent to the plant and your build should happen sometime during the 2nd week. If all your parts don't arrive, they'll kick your build out of D1 until the parts arrive.

The day your build happens is up to build coordinators at the plant that sequence all builds. They the ones that handle how truck run down each shift. If a part is damaged as your truck goes down the line or in the 2023 case where the clusters aren't fitting, they'll complete the build and sit it outside until repairs are made (I or JB status). Fixed and then let it go to the mopar shop for any exterior accessories to be added and all final stops before shipping.

You can see on google maps the big white tent in the middle of SHAP. That lot beside it is all the trucks in repairs and they do all the repairs in those tents outside. If a bunch of trucks need to be stored, they start parking them in lots around plant, especially the Mopar stop

Thanks for the continued insight!

@KnightMare You seem to be among the most knowledgeable about what’s going on at Ram. How long is SHAP shut down for Christmas and New Years? Someone on the 5thGen forum said they’re down until 1/9 (other than volunteer workers). Is that accurate?
