Ignition Edition Orange RAM TRX Photo Thread 🍊

Picking up one of these orange Rex's this coming weekend. Haven't seen the orange in person so I'm really hoping I like how it looks in person.
I bought mine without seeing one first. It's a bold look, but as long as you're prepared for that you should like it. I think the orange and black look great together. I took off my running boards and added a Ram bar, and I smile inside every time I look at it.

You'll love it. I came from a yellow H2 and this is a nice upgrade.

She squats a little with trailer attached. Thinking air bags. Anyone have experience with them?
You can't use coil spring airbags on a TRX, because they put the bump stops in the middle of the coil springs.

So a potentially dumb question: Early on when RAM was talking about the ignition package they mentioned orange ram heads on the mats. However mine, along with most others I have seen, came with gray ram heads. Did *anyone* here get mats with orange ram heads? (I know this is no big deal, just something I can't get out of the back of my head that the dealer gave me the wrong mats.)

Mine are gray as well.

I ordered a Ram bar when signed the contract on November 1st. Truck came in 1/15 and no confirmation when the the Ram Bar is expected. Did you put a tonneau cover on? Wondering what firs with the bar on. I'm thinking of adding the running boards. My 5'2" wife can't get in without me picking her up. Especially when she is wearing a tight dress.

I see the fellas gave you the link for the Ram bar and a tonneau cover. I don't have one on mine.

I sort of figure the difficult entry might be a deterrent to folks asking for rides, lol.

Orange Ram head mats never made it into production. All of them have gray head mats.

I installed the OEM hood decal and painted mirror caps today.

Hood decal will test your patience. I’ve installed plenty of vinyl and ppf before, but this one was frustrating. Did the wet/soap install method. The backing paper adhesive is too strong, so it would lift the decal off the paint when trying to peel it back. That resulted in at least an extra hour of squeegee time to clear all the bubbles. Pulling the backing paper off the TRX logo area will have you cussing.

Mirrors came from Jeremy at Retro Shop. They custom paint a new set and ship for around $200.

Sick. I hit 1100 on the way home.

Truck handles snow, ice, mountains with two small issues.

One is she seems to slip a lot, I noticed this on dry pavement at 80+ more than on snow. Feels like tires loosing grip than regripping. It’s not traction control as I tried on and off, might have been wind pushing her butt loose, will need to drive more to confirm (not a major thing)

The other is the off road running boards basically become full on ice collectors, at one point my door was almost wedged shut by ice buildup.
