Hey guys, theoretical question, so please don't kill me for asking: does anyone know / have experience with a propane system for the Hellcat engines?
I am anxiously awaiting my TRX any day now and since my current Durango SRT 392 is using propane in addition to regular gas I was just wondering if this was possible for the Hellcat engines too. (paying less than half for propane than regular where I live)

Thanks!

Look up Alliance Auto Gas they told me they have a set up for the TRX.

Awesome thanks guys
Sorry I did not relize you were from Germany, you can also look up Prins in the Netherlands. I am not sure if the have a dual fuel set up for the TRX but I know Alliance auto gas does because I just spoke to them this week here in the states. I am interested in running propane also to benefit from the high octane for Higher boost and HP. They are doing some research for me and I am curios what type of a adjustable system they can come up with. I have used propane in other high performance applications in the past and it works wonderful.

Would be interested to hear what type of setup they come up with. I read that there are some garages in Germany that have installed lpg into chargers / challengers (hellcats). From what I understand they use two vaporizers. The dealer where I bought the trx told me that prins does not have a certified kit for the trx which would be a problem for the warranty. But perhaps the dealer is not good enough when it comes to lpg out of the standard. Will keep on investigating

Hi,
I am from Germany (near Hamburg) as well and get my TRX from Steppe in Horgau in about 4 weeks. Talked to another RAM TRX dealer called Forstner in Stuttgart a few weeks ago and they do TRX mods to Propane. Dual system you can switch with a 150l propane tank where the sprare tire sits under tbe bed. Check with them, I might go this way too as I drive it a lot and gives you extra range and saves some euros. For our US friends : we are at about 2 USD/Liter or 7.50/Gallon

They say ca. 500 hp on propane for cruising and if you want to go crazy push the button and full power on gas.

Thanks for the reply. I found a dealer in Leipzig that also offers propane for he'll at engines. They have done quite a few and all run great (at least that's what they told me). They are the main importer of prins systems and seem to be quite capable. Their setup uses propane for cruising and automatically adds gas when you go faster. They are called Eko Gas Leipzig. I will have my TRX done soon.
So far it seems like it will be the family car. Haha

Okay I heared of them too and now looking forward to your experience with the propane mod.

Hi, interesting and can you give more details and pictures about the mod ? The propane tank is where the spare tire was ?
If I cruise mine like 80-100 km/h on normal roads it takes about 15 liter gasoline little more than my Challenger Hellcat.

Yes, spare tire is removed to create a roughly 100 liter tank.
On the Autobahn with speeds around 125 kmh you are looking at 450km range. Approximately that is

Hey guys from Germany, would like to ask you, if you are still happy the the propane in your TRX? Being from the Czech Republic, with the gas prices going crazy, I'm thinking about doing the same. Would appreciate any feedback about your long term usage, since you did it 2 years ago. Danke schön!
