As a sequel to my last post - the truck won't unlock via the fob and is not starting under any circumstance. I assumed it was the battery so I replaced it just now and same issue. There's definitely enough power for the alarm to go off but it's still a brick otherwise. Any help is greatly appreciated - thanks and Happy Thanksgiving!

Check your back window, floor ect for water. Sounds like you need a new rf hub unfortunately

No water anywhere, any other way to test if it's the RF? Makes sense as I do more reading...
As an aside I checked all my security footage and confirmed nobody tampered/re-keyed it or otherwise.

If your remote buttons don’t work AND you cannot start it/press it to the pts to start it then its more than likely the rf hub. Different antenna’s and coil pickups for all the steps above. Chances they all went out is slim. Common denominator is the hub

I didn't read/recall your last post. Assume you tried your second/spare FOB?

Yeah, tried the 2nd fob, no dice. Thanks tho

Not sure if you caught the info in Josh's last post. Have you tried taking your fob and using the corner of it to push the start button? That's the method you use if your fob battery dies (not saying your fob battery is dead, b/c you tried both fobs). BUT... it uses a different antenna to pick up the fob signal than the normal "works outside the truck" one - so there's a chance it will start that way. Much like an RFID scanner, the start button provides a near-field RF-induced current that powers the circuitry in the fob, and a different antenna to pick up the returned signal.

If it still doesn't start, then yeah - sounds like your RF Hub has died. By chance, you didn't have your dealer do the "not exactly authorized" RF Hub lockout procedure to secure the vehicle from theft, did you? Doubtful... but gotta ask.

Hey - just another stupid thought... do your brake lights work?

Ahhh... never mind. You said the fob won't unlock the truck, either. But - if anyone else is searching for possible solutions in the future... if no brake lights, it could be a bad brake switch, and that won't let the truck start, either (though it will remote start with a bad brake switch).

Oh, one more thing - just for shits and giggles... check out fuse 24 in your interior PDC (fuse box), under the panel below the steering wheel (remove two 7mm hex-head screws from the bottom of the panel):

It's the 15A blue vertical fuse just to the right of center, circled in green in the picture above. Make sure that fuse isn't blown... that powers your RF Hub

You guys are the best and thanks for all the detail Tom! Unfortunately none of the above got me there (the fuse would have been a huge win) so it looks like I'm off to the dealer.... thanks again though! Fwiw this is the first issue I've had in 3+ years so it's still the best truck ever...

Good luck getting it figured out. Hopefully it's something easy. Happy Thanksgiving 🦃

Rf hub and program keys. Actually pretty common
