Hello all,

I just brought my 22 TRX to the dealer for an oil change and thought I’d go to the sales dept to inquire about getting a 2027 TRX. The manager told me that it will not be available to purchase in California due to CARB regulations. Does anyone know if this is true?? I know it’s early to tell since they did announce the new TRX a little over 24 hours ago. I’m very curious. Thanks!

Never, ever believe anything a DEALERSHIP tells you (buying, selling, trading) and especially about what is coming soon or where/when it will be available. Honestly, the dealership is the LAST to know.
Looping @KnightMare , if anyone knows....he will know.

My dealer who I’ve bought 3 TRXs and 25 other trucks from said the exact same thing. Will not be available in CA and 11 other States, not enough carbon credits or some BS.

I do know the 2027 has a better emissions rating than the 21-24my. We got better emissions rating on a TRX before a working UC5.

Okay, so out of the 17 CARB states only five will get the TRX? That doesn't make sense to me.

California could well be the only state that may not have them for sale, but I looked into it a while back.
Living in one of the 17 states that adopted CARB standards I technically couldn't buy one. But I always buy our vehicles from out of state, so that part wouldn't be an issue.

Then I checked with the state's MVD head quarters, explaining the situation. No problem to register it here, the representative said. Just as I expected.

And this was before the regulations were relaxed, and the Durangos were set free.

That’s what my trusted dealer told me.

The main problem with CA is that you cannot register a new vehicle here without a CA emissions sticker or rating unless it has 7k miles on it…idiotic.

Have you read up on the latest regulations?

Your trusted dealer might be able to sell more vehicles than he thought...if you let him know what you found. Then again, it is California so maybe they'll sue Stellantis for trying to sell in California.

So here in NY we have similar issues, of course.
I sell heavy equipment including trucks. Some trucks cannot be registered here due to the stupid CARB law. What we do is the trucks get registered in FL then transfer the title to NY.

It delays the process and the customer rides the trucks with temp tags until they get the title here but from there on all good.
Im doubt RAM would push this truck without similar caveats existing.

“Then fuck off the thread.
Your state has plenty of these people pushing for the CARB bullshit. Clearly most of us don't and the whole country skipped the bullet for now.
So the guy cant get a TRX because he lives in CA”

My state has no one pedaling the BS out of CA or NY. Look at your politics. Look at the exodus of people from both of these states. Do yourself a favor and move on out- live the life you always wanted without the crazies controlling you!

Tried to post but replies aren't posting.
Some of us cant just hook up the trailer and move.
Trying to be civilized here, clearly you think everyone in CA and NY agree with CARB bs because these are blue states. A large portion of us are against this crap.
Let the guy ask his question and get the truck wherever he is

You sound like a fucking lunatic dude. You didn’t answer the guys question.
Why doesn’t he use the search function or do his own research. The rest of us could care less about his petty California problems. Grow a set of testicles and move the hell out of that communist state. Then he wouldn’t have to get on a forum and fill it with BS about carb laws and whether he can get a $100k truck in CA. This crap doesn't apply to the vast majority of members in the fly over states. Go buy a Subaru.

LOL there's probably 100x more TRXs (and future buyers) in CA then there are in South Dakota. The Raptor/TRX were basically built because of the California/Southwest market. Look at the picture below. Guess where this ad was filmed. That's right CALIFORNIA. This thread had California in the title, you could of easily skipped it and just gone to another thread.

Lol. You are so ego-centric that you think that vehicles with marking materials (such as videos or pics) from certain states were developed and manufactured only for (or because of) people in those specific states. Quite arrogant and hilariously untrue. My point is, it’s annoying to keep listening to these poor people in democrat states worry or complain about the lunatic laws and regulations. Do something about it. Leave. Change the politics. The people running the government in those states will tax you, regulate you and control you until the end of times.

Actually, I think I could take a picture like that in the Idaho or Oregon Dunes...
