Just wondering why there hasn't been any wide fender flares made for the trx.

I been waiting for something just anything but not a single option.

Has anyone tried to modify these from a rebel?

Have you been living under a rock? Robby Woods are quite pricey, but there are other choices available.

that's for the whole fenders, i just want to change the flares as cited in the previous post.

Trying to put similar setup to my previous truck like these.

Ah, I see what you're talking about. Never seen anything like that on the TRX. Good luck with your search!

thank sir! I ordered a set of these Rebel Husky Liner ones and will try to modify them to fit. From what I understand Rebel has the closest to TRX dimensions in the front, but they do not say they are compatible with the TRX since the rear has a different shape gas cap as well as having a cut out for the side marker light in the rear fender. Hopefully it is something I can tweak with my dremel set.

will post pics up if this works out well.

Someone needs to make wider fenders for the trx. It was close but not enough for me to spend the time tweaking.

Honestly. You have found a hole in the market. Get on Alibaba.com and find a supplier and get an initial production run. You might make a lot of money.

I was working on something similar for a no logo grille but then they showed up on Amazon. Turns out I was right about popularity, could have made about $160/ea but I was too late.

You generally need at least 100 units commitment and the size of this thing i would have to clear out a 2 car garage plus deal with import clearance on 2 containers at least. Youre right it might be a good opportunity but it is a segway to something else where I rather just pay someone and get them for myself lol.

Also im sure once someone sees that they are selling they would enter the market and just sell direct leaving the risk of having some that end up not selling.
There definitely is a demand for this since most of us like to poke the tires out a bit.

Very popular/decent reputation among the 'Widebody Conversion' Challenger/Charger/Durango crowds (lots of great professional and home garage install videos).

Perhaps if there was enough demand (group purchase/committals?) - would VICREZ would fulfill this niche?

Surely the volume for a decent/wider fender flare using the stock hardware (no cutting) would be more popular than demand for wide body Durango kits? I envision (akin to Bushwacker) various widths offered and more appeal from mainstream users not just 'enthusiasts'.

Worth a call me thinks! I'm going to call them this week, if others do the same we may generate some attention (referring to related forum threads too).

I question that...
With around 50k trx made i would say even 1% still is around 500 pieces. The question is whether a business sees marketing and logistics is worth the trouble after r&d.

If you made one for the trx it would only be for the trx since it's the only profile out of the 1500 line including the rho.

I believe the RHO uses the same fender flares as the TRX. That would add another 15k trucks to the mix, and more importantly it’s still being built.

Surely the overall volume of TRX/RHO/pending TRX-26 orders would far exceed the VICREZ widebody Durango kits. Granted it's not F150 numbers (900k+/annually).

Maybe a few versions would be ideal?
  • Stock hardware/fitment and same OEM profile slightly 1"+ wider.
  • Stock hardware/fitment with inner trimmed profile and 2"+ wider <- Easily allowing 37" tires w/out new coils and related CV concerns.
  • Cut out - 'FTR-FTW!' version: Template contour, new hardware (threaded inserts), requiring metal trimming and 3+ wider with new molded liners (alike AEV kits) <- Allowing 40"+ " " " ".
Offer
  • Black finish
  • 'Painted to match' OEM colors: Finish provided by their sub-vendor for consistency (similar to what HD does for their aftermarket catalog tanks/fenders/etc).
Random link noting many finishes/styles and companies (Bushwacker/Husky/etc) catering to this market. https://realtruck.com/c/exterior-ac...rW4cp9NdW12mIj0dIbKSzTrQC6LyzsnkaAvi_EALw_wcB
