I have a 24 TRX and I have noticed several times at night it is hard for me to see anything when I am in reverse or if I am working behind my truck. I figure a good set of back up lights will solve my issues. Which ones would you recommend?

I got the brackets and lights from Shifts and Grins if memory serves. Definitely helps with the reverse side of what you're asking.

X3 on the C1R lights. They T into the trailer plug above the hitch and are very easy to install. They work as running lights, brake lights that strobe when you first hit the brakes, and bright back up lights

Diode on my truck, super easy install.

So I installed the Shifts and Grins auto reverse lights a few week ago. Love them. Today, they decided to stay on even after the truck was off. They were on for hours (no drainage to battery), but I'm wondering why all of a sudden? The red running light stays on no matter what I've tried, so I ended up having to unplug them at the trailer harness. I zip tied the wiring neatly up behind the spare tire, so its not like they are getting blasted with water or anything while driving.

Anyone else have this issue?

I’ve had that setup for a couple of years now, and haven’t had that issue. I guess the first question is, does your truck think it suddenly has a trailer attached? That might explain things.

Do have a taser? might need to reset it if you do. I had it happen once. but after resetting the Taser, it never did that again.

I do have a Tazr. It wasn't happening the first few weeks, so it's weird that it did it. I will try to reset it though and see if that helps.

No, my truck does not think there is a trailer attached... at least nothing in my gauge cluster indicating that.

I reset the Tazr, no luck. I unplugged the Tazr, and still the lights remained on. Only thing that gets them to turn off is unplugging the harness.

Check all the wires (including above stream of the trailer plug). You might have a short somewhere.

So, I'm a bit electrically illiterate. How would one determine if it has a short?
