I found a doc on Ram's website that decodes VIN's for the 2020 model year

Here's what mines say =
1C6 = FCA US LLC Truck
S = Hyd Brakes, GVWR range 7000-8000 lbs. Active belts, airbags, side bags - all rows
RFU = RF denotes 4wd. U I would assume will be updated for the TRX in the 2021 guide
9 = 6.2 L Gas V8
X = Check Digit
M = 2021 Model year
N = Sterling Heights Assembly Plant, MI
900799 = Plant sequence number

I didn't get my " full" vin number until my build sheet yesterday

I'm wondering this also. I've got two almost duplicate trucks on order from the same dealership, one of them has a 4 and the other has a 9 here.
From that link, on the explanations in the fine print, it says the check digit is "Calculated from formula in Part 565". Whatever that means.

Yes that’s probably the same formula they use to produce vehicles. Random as hell.

It's a pretty straightforward - but complex - formula. It requires you to have all 16 of the other digits established first. I would explain it all, but you'd fall asleep halfway through.

Sounds like you had to sit thru the NICB classes too eh? Lololol

Great! I'm going to need it soon - thank you so much!
