Whether this may happen or not, time will tell where this goes. We sell a good bit of drag wheels to Hellcat / ZL1 and Z06 owners at DragRacingWheels.com so I'm hopeful the SRT lineup sticks around in someway or another.

"The Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat, the Challenger Hellcat and other vehicles under the SRT brand may be dropped moving forward."

If any of you were considering an SRT Viper, I would definitely grab one up soon as their values may just go up nicely!

I think this has been known for some time through a bunch of sources. Emissions credit penalties have been crazy expensive(millions) for FCA and they have said a few times that they are going to kill the hellcat motor in a few years. Timeline has been hazy but I have read 2023 in a few places. Someone posted the other day that they have already disbanded the SRT engineering team so sadly, these hellcat powered vehicles will be something very special in the coming generations.

The sheer fact that in the year 2021, these engines and rear wheel drive passenger cars still exist is nothing short of a miracle. Lee Iacocca (remember that guy) actually said in 1989, the Chrysler would be an entirely front wheel-drive, passenger car line up with 2.2 liter turbos. The big V-8s and rear wheel drive had a nice run I might say.

Exactly! We have been lucky until this point. I'm hopeful it sticks around for a few more years.

Hellcat engine dead in 2 years when the '24 Alfa Romeo Challenger comes out lol

Is that a new European mini van or station wagon?
