Upper glove box

everyone with trucks, does ur upper glove box light stay on when the the truck is on? Like can u see it through the crack at night?

I have a 2019 ram now and never noticed it until 3 months ago and it stays on all the time and annoys the shit out of me, not sure if it was always like that and I didn’t notice or it just started.

Can you guys take a look at yours

It’s really annoying stays on and I don’t think it’s always did that. My buddies 2020 ram doesn’t do it. Trying to figure out if the TRX’s do it (some or all)

My 2019 and my 2020 both stay on - for a time. Either I get used to it after awhile and don't notice it, or it actually goes off. Every time I think to myself I need to check it in an hour or so to see if it's still on, I forget - which makes me think it may be on a timer? Or my brain is on a timer?

Mine is always on. Everytime I switch lanes I notice it

So it's my brain then, eh? Hmmm - makes sense...it's amazing what we can do and not realize we're not doing it.

I swear that it was never on until one day my wife rode for over an hour with her feet pushing on it, then I noticed it when we parked and it stayed on and ever since then, I blame it on that

Yes it will stay on as it is connected to the accent lights I believe. When you dim the accent lights, the upper glove box one dims as well - it's part of the design, and is supposed to show like that. (My TRX does it as well)

Well I guess some tape over that light will be my first Mod to the truck then

Try just dimming the accent lights (roller knob on the left) near the light switch, it can also be completely turned off.

I have it on a really low setting as it is cause bright dash lights bother me when I drive but it’s stays the same brightness.
