UConnect - top of display has new icon (2023 model)

Truck has not performed or received the latest software update, still running MY23.T25.48-PROD. I never renewed Sirius. I am not logged into Amazon or any other appls on the truck. I have Ram connect subscription but only the basic one for remote control, not Nav / traffic data or Weather app. Out of the blue, maybe a few weeks ago, suddenly the top row, on left side of the display is now showing this new icon (3 white squares and 1 white plus sign), see photo. When i click on it, it takes me to the other screen (see picture). Some games and other nonsense. I have not purchased any new data plans or Sirius or anything. Is this some kind of Amazon garbage?

It is the start of ads in our rigs. They are forcing in bloatware to try and sell things we did not ask for. It is an app store came in like maybe 2 months ago I think. They really need to stop this crap. Things like this and the selling our data to get us higher insurance rates is unacceptable. Should only install on my truck if I install it not be forced in there.

That started happening to mine a few weeks ago. I didn't do an update, but it could have updated OTA. That button is annoying and I don't see a way to remove it.

Mine is a 2022.

That button showed up around the same time as alot of us started having the satellite hardware error with sirius. Don't worry though. Ram"Cares" and they are monitoring the issue

There's an opt out button but you have to take your dash apart to get to it. Just remove the Telematics module and they cant do anything.

Never, if I end up satisfied corporate says someone must have fd up. We are not allowed happiness. Why they made them so easy to steal. You are not supposed to keep that amazing TRX feeling and if by chance you do well then bloatware and high af insurance for you. May just be following your write up on the big brother removal!

Here's all the data to do it. The connector and bolt circled are the hardest part of the job

No no, you being up a valid point, so I've extracted a queen bees alarm pheromones and placed in an ampoule behind the light panel. The thieves remove the panel and bam, pheromones everywhere. Then I release the bee hive and follow them to the truck. Absolutely foolproof and you get delicious honey out of it. Like to see that telematics box do that!
