Uconnect T27.46-Prod Update today

What's up fellas and ladies! Wondering if you guys happened to get this update (T27 46) or not? Under the dashboard tab where we typically would have the three big icons for drive modes, performance pages, and race options has been changed! And if you ask my personal opinion, the change was for the worse. I now have two smaller rectangular icons for performance and race options, and then two small tiles below that for drive modes and a new trailer tow pages feature. I typically don't haul around a trailer so it really does me no good, but I would imagine anyone who does will like the new features that are included there. Anyways, just kind of a gripe that they changed the UI under the dashboard which what used to look really cool to know something that is frankly subpar in my opinion. Curious to know if anyone else has run into this and if they share similar feelings

Just got this update yesterday, now my screen is blank and constantly has to be restarted. Is Uconnect really this bad?

I've read it can take like 24 hours for the updated software to "work", did you try holding the radio's power button in for 10 seconds to fully restart the system? May give that a try.

Seems like a garbage update. Have the same quirky issues as well as Carplay issues.

If they made an option to purchase this truck without any tech or luxury I would have bought it. Sure ventilated seats are nice but all I need is the sweet sweet supercharger whine that goes wwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Massaging seats in the RHO? GTFO

Thankfully I found this info on the forum, my wife was driving and thought the whole system had died. It does reset, but hit or miss if it starts or is black on startup. How this rolled out as an update is beyond me.

The reset procedure above does bring it back online, just doesn't guarantee it works on next start. I have been having to reset mine almost every time I get in the truck.

I had massaging seats in my AMG before this truck and if it were an option, I would buy it again in a heartbeat!!! So nice to use when you’re stuck in rush hour traffic and you just press a button and have a little massage start to help make traffic more bearable.

Anyone know the inner workings of the OAT update?
Will it just keep trying a million times in marginal service?
I just had a dead battery with only a couple weeks of sit time. Truck was parked in a location with service that shows you have data, but it's just the phone lying and actually its very limited.
I saw this thread on a recent update release, and I'm wondering if a repeated update attempt contributed to drawing it down.
Once truck running it displayed an update failure, error code : -4
Can I shut off auto-update for future vacations?

I hate it when they fix something that's not broken. They should give us an option of what and when to upgrade this sort of thing.

yea im not a fan of the new update and noticed a few crashes on my unit while using it. Carplay has been having some issuse and freezing. music will still play but any navigation looks all messed up and frozen. I have had luck just restarting my radio

I haven't noticed any of the radio issues you guys are talking about yet...but a new issue when I remote start the truck. When I put my foot on the brake and hit the start button, it just dies. Happened the other day, thought maybe I double tapped it or something. After this happens, it gets into a funk of not wanting to turn off or cycle through the normal ACC to IGN and back and forth. I'm not sure what I did to snap it out of it. I'll catch a video of it here in a bit

Edit: just took a video to troubleshoot further, and it worked fine this time. So I believe I'm 1/3 on remote starts since this OP put up this post...or there's just a weird coincidence going on. IGLA and the remote start has been working fine the last 8 months and nothing else has changed!

not sure if this has been stated already, but when remote starting you do not have to push the brake when you get in the truck. Just push the start button. Just stating that you don’t have to, but I will say I do it many times out of habit. IGLA could be the cause of not wanting to turn off or cycle through the normal ACC to IGN.

Is anyone running a more current firmware than update 27.46? I see some files floating around the 5th gen ram site with a 31.42 version which is supposed to be a European update following 27.46. The exported uconnect 5s must have got the newer version cleared before the US version.
