Everyone has their own reason for getting a TRX. Personally, I'm not off-road inclined, but I needed a capable daily driver truck for light off-road (construction sites) that also satisfied enough of my sports car and luxury needs/wants. In the end I went with built in capability, thinking it's easier to address exterior issues such as trim/wheels than drivetrain, suspension, and lift. The challenge is doing this in a way that it looks like an OEM luxury truck out of the factory.

Anyway, I found some spare time and made some renderings using wheels from other Stellantis products to try and stay OEM. I also did a rough job of trying to see what it would like like in a Limited trim, and a Limited trim with Night Edition. I think this truck could have at least used a gloss black option like the Night Edition, but honestly after looking at the renderings any kind of Limited would have been nice. Actually Vader Black like the new GMC's would have been badass. Hopefully RAM sees this and passes it on the designers. One of the big three needs to make a Luxury Super Truck. The TRX is just one step away of being that.

Disclaimer: I made the following on my iPad, I'm not an artist, so it's not perfect.

Enjoy.

Ram made Chris Stapleton a custom Ram so if you have enough money, maybe they would make you one.

That's pretty cool! I have decent pockets, but not deep pockets. Although I have considered just swapping wheels, maybe trying to see if I can modify the front grill with the black Limited one, and possibly swapping for a full leather steering wheel. If I had the time and money, I'd definitely try to do a full Limited transition on the TRX. I don't doubt it can be done.

If you do a Limited conversion to a TRX, I will drive all the way down to Central Texas and…

Lmao, may want to fill up that gas tank!

jk, with kids and work I don’t have the time and energy to undertake a full blown conversion. Wheels will probably be it. Either that or trade it for something else. Been spoiled by its driving capabilities though, won’t be an easy decision.

LOL, if you ask for opinions you are unfortunately going to get opinions. The beautiful thing is, it's your truck and you can do whatever the heck you want to. I personally like a more custom look than any of those OEM looks. Plus I think you could accomplish the same look cheaper not going through RAM. But, again if that's what you want then do it! Who cares what we all say?

Being in South Florida, most of our local customers are Luxury / Sport inclined. It's obviously about the look. We can set you up with an OEM looking forged wheels or even a Hellcat style Forged wheel that we did for the Trackhawk's :)

Whats the weight on the 18inch version of the HW56?

Pretty similar, around 25lbs. The HW56 will be way more affordable at $3650 shipped though.

I agree. I created this post because I’m sure I’m not the only one who has had this cross their mind. So I’m leaving these renderings for whoever was curious about kind of what it would look like, even though I’m sure that’s a minority of people who purchase this truck. I also agree that I might be able to accomplish it cheaper going through a different manufacturer, and honestly I’ve been just debating trading it for a new Sierra Denali and getting a lift, potentially even super charging it in the future. What’s keeping me from doing that is how awesome this truck drives and rides in its factory setting along with a factory warranty.

I wish they’d put this drivetrain, width, and suspension on some kind of special edition lux truck. The top tier 3/4 ton trucks come close, but lack responsiveness and ride quality. Life’s full of trade offs!
