TRX Stolen

It has a 93 pump gas package on it now plus a S&B intake so it is a lot faster. It was broadsided a few months after I got it back from the theft repairs (see photo) so I couldn't tell you if it is exactly as it was.

I cannot even remember what it was like new at this point.
Holy shit. Im lucky compared to you.
This is how we found mines upon recovery.

for the record, all the discussion about theft, unanswered crime, and the realization that I'd probably lose my truck eventually no matter where I live if I didn't take preventative measures is why I got IGLA

Yup that was my grave mistake. Luckily the truck was recovered in relatively good condition.

This is mine when I picked it up from police impound 2 weeks later. Stolen at 700miles on ODO. Got it back with 1500miles. Had to get it towed to the dealer as they keys no longer worked. Damages to the hood and across the roof and a dint in the tailgate when they drove it straight through the hotel boom gate. Found the wallet of the dude who had been driving it in the center console (blurred the details). Kids homework in the back. Football jersy with matching name. Garage remote on the visor. A heap of receipts matching the payment cards in wallet strewn over the cab. Stolen plates were mounted to the truck. Now if he was the one that stole it, or bought it for '$5k', I don't know. The police haven't found him though. Whoever took it did replace the broken glass with an off brand pane, so that was thoughtful of them lol.

Same color as my truck. That actually hurt! What state are you from? How does your truck ride now?

Im in California. I was roadtripping it after picking it up brand new from Iowa back to CA via Texas. First day of driving was from Iowa to Dallas. It was stolen from the hotel that night. I only had her one day ): The flight home really hurt. Truck drives great. There was a bit of damage but it was only superficial. Everything was restored to OEM via insurance.

Oooff dude that sucks. Yeah Cali and Texas are hotbeds for TRX thefts. Glad to hear everything was restored hoping for the same outcome here. My brief drive to the shop the truck felt the same as before the breakin so I’m sure it’ll be fine.

I was a membor of the forum prior so i knew how much they were being targeted. I had IGLA scheduled that week too. A voice in my head told me that maybe I should just sleep in the truck. But I shrugged it off. No way it's going to get stolen day 1...

You should be fine man. Mine took 3 months until I was happy with the repairs. Took it back multiple times. Make sure you inspect their repairs very thoroughly. Take your time. And clarify with them that you can bring it back if you find any of their repairs lacking after you take it home and clean it. It was never really that clean when I picked it up from the dealer and defects are hard to see on black paint when its dirty. It was only after taking it home and cleaning it properly that I could see defects in the paint repairs.

I will 100% do so. The whole point of insurance is to restore something to your satisfaction.

I understand completely this whole ordeal exhausted me like no other. Having a kid was less exhausting.

I think the wife would say differently, that is if you are married then if not, God bless you.

That drive home from Iowa was my most nerve racking experience. That is why I drove the Northern route, from Iowa to Colorado to Utah to California. Due to all the problems I saw, on this forum, in Texas. It definitely helped getting the IGLA +CompuStar installed in Colorado. Bummer that your truck was stolen. Happy to know you had it recovered.

Mines will be getting IGLA & Compustar as soon as it is back in my possession!
