This is ridiculous.
If you think this is bad, talk to someone INSIDE a RAM dealership about how many duplicate / repeated hoops they have to jump through to WARRANTY a HC engine. Even with 100% diag and failure data, it can take 2-3-4 months to get the engine. BTW, the HC engine is still being produced as a crate engine. There is no "shortage" of them.I'd like to choke out that P>O>S CEO of the company.
Don't spill the beans on that! How are they supposed to blame someone else for long waits on parts if you keep on telling people the secrets?BTW, the HC engine is still being produced as a crate engine. There is no "shortage" of them.
lol 4 month wait they can buy back the truck NFW id wait that long even with inside storage and a free "like" loner horrible service but as said I love the truck
Glad you are getting your truck back. Did the dealership give you details on what they found, what they fixed or how they resolved the issue?2 more calls this morning to case manager and go figure ... not available. Anyone know how to get this cushy job?
BUT!!! YOU READY FOR THIS!?
The truck is READY!!! They extensively tested everything and there are no issues, codes, problems or anything else. They got me my 2nd FOB (free because Stellantis can suck it) and I will be buying my service manager and tech some very nice gifts ...
Notably, the dealership notified me of this good news. I can only assume because they 1. give a crap and 2. When they called to update my case manager she was probably unavailable.
I am excited to get my truck back finally.
No word on reimbursement. No word on RAM MAX warranty. No word on if they will help me with RAM Connect price. I won't hold my breath on any of it at this point. I am PISSED with Stellanshit.
To give credit where credit is due, @RamCares did get back to me. I gave them a bunch of extra details and asked for some help on those above items so maybe ... just maybe ... there is a redemption arc or something here.
They did. I am getting a full writeup by tomorrow afternoon. They are finalizing and formalizing and emailing it to me. It was the pins in the connector down to the PCM/ECU (whatever the proper acronym is) that were physically too little tension just barely making contact so it was making the fuel injectors flip their shit.Glad you are getting your truck back. Initially I called the MOPAR warranty stuff, then went to Reddit, then they sent me to 5thgen RAM forums and ultimately I landed here and with @RamCares reaching out in the thread. We have had some initial convo and I think they are looking into things. Hopefully they can make this all right post-repair etc.Guess I was confused whether you called MOPAR Warranty (??) or opened a case# with RAM Cares (which I found easy/efficient - including getting someone assigned). Likewise loaner vehicles (Stellantis only options through Enterprise) were provided on multiple occasions and for weeks that filled our daily needs (Jeep Grand Cherokee/Pacifica minivan). They absolutely called and 'lit's at the dealership' to expedite resolution... ultimately referred me to a better dealership/specific Service Advisor I've had since - receiving incredible and seamless help.
@RamCares is the ONLY reason we kept our TRX... we had two bouts of engine misfire codes (the second one happening in multiple cylinders could have been resolved if the f'ing first dealership had checked a related S.T.A.R.S. report/done a software update). Injectors were replaced (nothing else found). I/C coolant pump and radiator were replaced (unrelated).
Curious what dealer in NH? I used to work at FOSS Motors (Exeter) back in 91' (now in AZ) and still have occasional contact with their (3rd generation) family members (helped in past)
When @RamCares calls a dealership - it's a "Oh F**K" for those involved. I saw attitude and exigency change... unfortunately given the muppets that work there/systemic culture it was time to exit to a @RamCares referral who completely solved outstanding issues.Initially I called the MOPAR warranty stuff, then went to Reddit, then they sent me to 5thgen RAM forums and ultimately I landed here and with @RamCares reaching out in the thread. The MOPAR/Stellantis warranty folks that I called initially have been awful. The dealership has been great. It is Priority over in Salisbury MA.
Small world about Foss - it almost went there but they redirected to Priority. I don't know too much about Foss other than where it is and the one time my friend went there to look at a vehicle he did not have a great experience but that could just be a fluke. I have never been there to be honest.
The rental thing has been extremely frustrating. They told me I need to pay out of pocket regardless of where I go. So I went to Turo. They never offered to pay for the rental or arrange the rental. I really wish they would have because I am several thousands in rentals over the past 20+ days until getting the truck back today with nothing more than a promise of eventual reimbursement which now they say can take 30 days. Meanwhile, I had to put this on a credit card so I am paying the interest to boot. Sucks.
You are all good friend. I wish I knew how to contact RAMCares from the get-go - I was very new to the whole process so I kind of just stumbled my way through it. So far so good with the truck now that it is back. When @RamCares calls a dealership - it's a "Oh F**K" for those involved. Glad you found this forum and progress(!!) and I wasn't trying to be skeptical or a critique of your process... following the logistical steps but @RamCares was definitely the 'fix' in my case and I truly felt like someone at corporate Stellantis was helping. I also take insane notes which probably helped too - professionally institutionalized to expect gross and unremarkable performance from Vendors/Manufacturers/etc.
I am very happy I found this forum. There has been a ton of info on here and everyone has been very helpful. It has been a journey. I am the same way with note taking and documentation. Believe me when I say the truck is back but this is not over lol
