Hey everyone. We all know how awesome these trucks are but there is one part that I have always had a like/dislike feelings for and that of course is the metal badge on the center console. I like its design and having it show the specs of the truck but the choice of location and material used has a lot to be desired,. As we all know, there is nothing like jumping into your truck on a hot summer day and then feeling the awesome burning sensation as you brand the badge into your arm. C'mon Ram, what were you thinking? lol. It is bad enough in the 100 degree heat in Iowa. I cant imagine what you guys/gals go thru in the southern states like Arizona, Texas and Florida. I looked thru the available options such as the fabric cover that covers the entire lid or the plastic box that covers the badge and is attached with velcro. While they are good options, I wanted to come up with a way I could still see the badge if I wanted to and still protect my arm. With a lot of trail and error and testing, I came up with a plastic piece that attaches/clips to the badge and has removble/changeable inserts. I have had it in my truck for about 12 weeks now testing it and I am considering selling them on eBay. I wanted to get everyones opinion and interest in this product. The first picture is a clear insert. It has a logo etched into it similar to what is under the hood. We are still working on the logo in order to make it different enough so not to hear from Ram. The other two are black inserts with some color accent. Each insert will be available with or without the logo. The colors are not an exact match to our interiors but they are as close as I can get. Im still working out a few minor details and I hope to have them for sell by the end of next week. What does everyone think? And thank you for reading my very long post. Tom

Cool option and like the clear so you can still see the badge. I haven’t had an issue with the badge burn yet, but that’s because I have a cover over the entire center console to protect the alcantara from the kids. I remove the cover when driving alone when I remember, so may be interested in one of these.

I wanted to give everyone a quick update on this project. After a week working with the person etching these parts for me, I think we finally came up with one that hopefully everyone will like. If all goes well, I should be posting the link to buying one this Saturday. Thank you.

Looks good, I'd buy one. I've been branded a few times by it.

So as promised, Here are the two links to my console badge covers. One is a listing for the etched logo and the other is without the etch. I hope everyone likes them. Thanks!!

Looks like you have a Blue trimmed one. Is the lens dark or clear? Have you got a TReX Logo to etch on it?

I dont have a blue trimmed one. Not yet any way. If there is enough interest I could add it. I dont have access to a lunar edition so if I did add blue it would be my best guess along with what blues are available to purchase. The only ones right now are gray, red, or yellow trimmed along with the clear. On the clear one, it is clear with no tint in it. The logo I have etched in the one listing is similar to what is under the hood but we had to make a few changes so not to copy it. I cannot use the TRX letters as that would be an issue with Ram. Thanks.

I don't have a lunar but a hydro blue one. Grey should work with logo lens.

Let me know if you have that combo ☺️

If I understand correctly, all I have so far is the black with a gray trim/border with the logo in the middle. I cant add color to the clear inserts as they are cut from a sheet of acrylic and then etched. The only ones I can change the border colors on are the black ones, either with or without the logo. So far I only have the gray, red, or yellow borders.

Yes, black and grey with the etched logo.

I had to make a new listing for the badge cover with the etch. I didnt realize I had to enter a quantity to keep it active. I am new to selling on eBay so I wanted to apologize for this. Here is the new link.

I got it in today. Looks great and really easy to install.

Directions included and they are pretty straight forward.

The cover isn't clicked all the way in. It's a perfect fit but going with a clear cover.

I wanted to show what one looked like installed.

Just ordered a clear cover!
Hopefully my notes made sense, I figured a black or dark grey surround with a clear cover will best match my Interior and still allow the badge to be seen.
