TRX Chase lights!

Finally pulled the trigger on the whips and mounts as I have a river trip coming up......but, looked at the bed just now and it appears the hole you mounted your wires through is oval shaped, any links to the grommets you used, and any other advice with getting the wiring run down through the bed?

It’s a round grommet, but conformed perfectly.

Ended up having to go a different route to mount my whips....I believe they must be a different brand then whatever @JBTRXNJ has. Mine are 5150 brand and the springs and bed mounts wouldn't work with my application. So I ended up buying a universal flag mount from Amazon that works with our bed rails and a spring from the 5150 vendor. Mounting is the only thing complete at this time, wiring will be done hopefully this weekend. (Along with rock lights and ditch lights ). And yes, the mounts fit perfectly with the Bakrevolver closed. Haven't decided whether I'll leave the bed cover on (rolled up/secured) while running the whips off-road or not. We'll see.

If anyone is interested in the hardware I used let me know and I'll post links. For the mount the spring attaches directly to I actually had to buy a half inch drill bit and drill it out to accept the beefy spring hardware. Super simple though.

For the detailed folks, these are 4 foot whips. Glamis requires the top of your whip to be 8 ft from the ground.

I'm looking to do pretty much the exact same thing. What did you use to connect to the rails? It looks clean.

One added benefit was not having to drill/install rivnuts. This was all bolt ons.

I did just remember that I need to edit my last post with the links though because I also had to buy slightly longer bolts than the ones the mount vendor sent. I think they’re M5x25mm.
