Hi guys, recently ordered my trx 2weeks ago.. always drove Chevy’s , but Love my
buddies Ram truck.. My order has a vin # my dealer gave me yesterday.. I was told originally that I probably won’t see it till June.
How does a person track the build? Only opted out on bead locks, carbon trim, red accent seats, bed package.. any info appreciated 👍

I ordered mine about four weeks ago and haven't got a VIN. Do not tell yourself you will getting delivery until this fall. Then it will be a surprise...

You have a VON yet? If so go on FCA chat and provide them with your VON and they’ll give you your VIN if it’s available.

dealer status said D code, firm schedule, all components confirmed?

If you’re D you have a VIN. Tell your dealer to provide you with a POC priced order confirmation. It will show both your VON and VIN. It’ll also show what you’ve ordered as well as your name etc attached to the order.

I have both of the #’s.. I guess what I meant is how long it normally moves, from there to the build line.. thnx

From D to D1 is a crapshoot. I just entered D1 and according to some more knowledgeable folks on here I’ll be in D1 for a couple more weeks and than get built. Some folks have been hung up in D for weeks others for months

I have my vin as well from dealer. no von.. I did ask him for it so maybe I can get some in sight on build.

The VON aka vehicle order number comes before the VIN. Nice thing about having the VIN and VON you’ll need both to get “info” from the FCA chat on your status. By “info” they customarily won’t give you status codes.

If you reach out to the dealer to get the VON see if they’ll just run your POC again and they’ll have the most up to date status code for you.

If not and you only get the VON, run it along with you VIN on the chat. If they tell you “all of the parts have been assembled and your vehicle is sequenced for production you’ll be entering the build process very soon” you’re D1.

This forum has been very helpful with deciphering the limited info you get from the chat. Once you’re D1 watch the build tracker closely because you’ll likely pop up within 2 weeks (so I’ve been told). Just because you’re getting built doesn’t necessarily mean you’re getting shipped. Some people move right through and others get hung up in the process. There’s quite a few members that have been built but their trucks haven’t been released for quite a while. I hope this info helps.

I just placed the order a few days ago, and this morning my dealer got the POC with the VON and VIN. Having ordered many a vehicle from CJDR/FCA/Stellantis, I know there's some logic that us humans can't comprehend, that determines how long after you get the numbers and get the D, before you see the thing...
Right now I'm most curious about why I see VINs ending in the 900000's and 600000's on the most recent listing here, yet I have a VIN in the 700000's...why do they jump around instead of going simply in numerical order?

(oops - missed a zero when mentioning VIN last six)

Ouija board, mystics... possibly a wizard. I don’t think there’s any rhyme or reason. Maybe there is? I know there’s VINS all over the place. There’s 6800 VINS that were issued way before mine (months) that haven’t been built and VINS issued after mine that have been built. What I’ve learned so far from what I’ve seen on this forum... this process will give you patience, anger, frustration and joy sometimes all on the same day. So far I cannot complain I haven’t been waiting months like many others have.

Not that it's any consolation, but when I ordered a Blue/Beige Rubicon a year and a half ago, followed the status codes and the dealer got more detailed info, even finding out it was on the train and got as far as Salt Lake. (going from plant in OH to SoCal) Then it seemed to disappear. Then dealer found out there was a train wreck between SLC and SoCal that destroyed a hundred or so new vehicles, mostly Jeeps. But there was a list of VINs of those in the wreck, and mine wasn't on the list. A couple more weeks of (the dealer) searching and finally FCA issued a new, longer, list - and mine was on it! By then when we went to re-order, they were mfr'ing 2020's instead of the 2019 I originally ordered, so I couldn't get the shade of light brown leather I wanted - but when the shade they offered came in, I liked it maybe more than the original order, and, it was a year newer vehicle! So waiting for this one isn't likely to be as bad as that - but if it is, maybe if I re-order they'll have the IC's by then and I can have the Blind Spot and Cross Path system we're hearing is no longer available...
