Good morning. Yesterday driving at very slow speeds in a cool Texas day I got an error message on the center screen stating vehicle performance would be diminished due to all wheel driving system overheating. It flashed about 2 times and went away.

Not sure about performance diminished as haven't gone passed probably 20% throttles so did not notice anything. Checked all gauges and messages and everything seemed OK.

Has anyone seen this message?

My sister had an AWD toyota that did that in the first 200 miles on the odometer and it turned out to be a bad sensor. Might be worth it to just take it to the dealer and have them scan it and see if that sensor is throwing any codes. On the off chance that something is actually causing the AWD system to overheat and you get the error again pull over but DO NOT shut the engine off just let it idle until the warning goes away

You guys that got your trucks first will be our test pilots. Probably not many others to compare to this early in the game.
That is the downside to being the first few hundred off the line....The upside is they get to drive around with giant shit eating grins on their faces while the rest of us try to pretend we are not jealous.

i need to ask....What did the dealer deliver the truck to you with for PSI in the tires?

reasonable and not a factor... but maybe....more pressure may be best for break in? more traction/Larger footprint is more wear and tear. i would look at your temps at running speed and full temp. the PSI in my Powerwagon can swing 8psi or more in the front and never go more then 3 or 4 psi in the rear.
I run about 40 front/ 32 rear when cold
maybe they leave a very small threshold on the warning during break in? I mean, im going to be romping it all day every day. That warning would set me off lol

Are you sure you’re not exaggerating? Couple of warning lights upset TRX JOUSTER!!!🤭🤣😂

go look at my powerwagon forum posts haha i have a history.
ive jousted as an S6 audi, X5 50i, in the AWD realm

quattro and xdrive were a pleasure...specifically when tuned lol.

never got an overheat message and launch at every light. this x5 50i was big braked, lowered, BMS tuned, GTHaus exhaust. At the end of my ownership, it was doing 0-60 consistently under 4.5 seconds, fastest was 4.1 Obviously not a TRX but still. it was not build for how i treated it.

Haven’t seen it but then I haven’t seen my truck yet either. Really interested in what is causing this.

High heat as parts wear in is not uncommon. If the warning continues, then I would have them test the sensor.

I had that message, or something very similar regarding 4wd/AWD overheating, come on briefly as the front differential tried to remove itself from the vehicle 😁. Wouldn't hurt to have a dealer look at the front diff and fluid level in my opinion.

Any updates on this? Just got the same message a few times today. Sitting at 1300 Miles.. .
Thanks
