I conducted some research on tires suitable for our truck, using https://tiresize.com/ as a reference, and created a chart below that you might find helpful. If you have any comments or additional information to share, please let me know so we can enhance the chart.

Best one missing - Mickey Thompson Baja Boss. Best tire I’ve every had on any truck…

Great list though 👍👍

Great list! If you have the time and inclination, I’d love to see a chart dedicated to 37s (and equivalent metric sizes). Selfishly, I’m looking to upgrade to 37s in the not too distant future. 🤣

Great job on that list thank you. Well done sir 👍🏻

Certainly, I can create a dedicated list of 37-inch tires that fit our truck. However, I highly recommend that anyone looking to upgrade to 37s also install a differential drop kit. This helps protect the CV joint from breaking, as a larger tire height increases the CV joint angle to a point that can be critical, potentially leading to damage.

I just installed a set of General Grabber A/Tx's in a 35x12.50 on my truck. Might be worth adding to the list?

I’ve just updated the list—could you check if that’s the tire you’re using?

Nitto Reacon's
It turns out there are two Nitto Recon Grappler options with different specs—one with a 12-ply rating and the other with a 10-ply rating. Naturally, the higher ply count increases the maximum load capacity.

I didn’t know that, thanks for finding that out. Once I wear out this set of Reacons I'll go for a 10 ply set since I town daily with my truck.

A higher ply count on a tire means a higher maximum load capacity. So if your current tires are 12-ply and you tow daily, there’s no reason to switch to a 10-ply.

Looks like the right one for the General Grabber A/Tx

This is excellent - thank you!

Pending my fourth set of OEM tires (50k on odo)... but default for the rotating weight and speed rating. In addition - the vehicle dynamics (suspension tuning/etc) were set for this spec.

Nitto Recon 12 ply here. OUTSTANDING puncture resistance in the Idaho desert rock terrain. If you have ever gone deep into the Idaho High Desert country in southern Idaho and ventured off the path to the edges of the Canyons you know the tire shredding rocks are everywhere and unavoidable. These tires take all the abuse. The downside is that on the road at normal pressures they are heavy and hard. At 70lbs each my MPG is 9.2 city, 10.5 Highway and 10 mpg overland. And at street pressure there deep snow grip (2+ feet over ice) is scary. Air down!

I've been a Toyo guy but got Geolandar XT's when I got my 20" rims and must say they are the best tires I've ever had.

The chart will help a lot of people as I remember looking at different tires and couldn't quite find weight info in most of them. This is nice

You are awesome! Great work!!

How many worry about the top end speed rating, my DYNOSOR is modified heavily, and I'm often with friends driving their Lambo's or Ferrari's, so I have to try and keep up...LOL
