This site is very informative and from what I can tell is that you all ordering the TRX is going rather smoothly. I've been consulting with a local dealer and just received this latest reply. l think I'm going to have to call BS on this.

Mr Pickle,

Just for some clarification. Chrysler is not going to ramp up production on the TRX for the foreseeable future. The last thing they want to make sure is "ramp up production", they have no intention to meet demand. In fact, thier only loose promise is to make sure every Ram dealership receives ONE TRX in within the next 24 months. Dealers are already collecting $50,000 and more ABOVE MSRP for these vehicles and they aren't even in production yet. Additionally, in the event we special order a TRX in a specific build, we will require a $15,000 non refundable deposit because the truck eats up 3 Ram 1500 allocations just to get one. So far, every TRX that has been built has been built fully ordered, meaning EVERY SINGLE OPTION CHECKED. There are no base models anywhere in the country for probably 2 years.

Anyhow, we will be charging MSRP, we will not be taking advantage of anyone and we will get only one(if we are lucky)in the next 24 months.

This vehicle is a just a whole different animal. "

TOTAL BULLSHITE!!!

It's S**T like this that give dealerships a bad name.

I can't find anything in what they said to be truthful. The 3 for 1 allocation and the ONLY loaded models being built is the most laughable.

RAM.....they make trucks, that's what they do. I applauded Dodge when they at least attempted to squash ADM when the Hellcat was first released. The TRX is even more of a niche vehicle than the Hellcat. They will be in short supply, initially, but as with the Hellcat, the supply should loosen-up and you might even see the $10/HP credit deal for the TRX, at some point. I am a Ford loyalist but one of the things I very much dislike about Ford is how they play games with their performance vehicles in regard to build numbers and how many model years they plan to build any given vehicle. Seems a "wink, wink, nudge, nudge" relationship with their dealers to keep ADM going as long as possible. The GT350 being Exhibit A.

Yeah Run away.... Total BS shady sales tactic. If that is genuinely what this person was told, it tells you about the dealership leadership as well.

That would be the final communication I had with that dealer. Complete BS for sure. Good news is there are many dealers out there.

Thats funny. Got to go fully loaded and give 15k non-refundable? Never heard a dealer tell me that

RAM already stated they'll build as many as they can sell, it will just take a bit for supply to catch up with the initial demand. First dealer I went to wanted 10k over sticker. Went to the next dealer and they offered it at sticker right off the bat so I ordered it right then.

Whoa...go with your gut and run away!

Sad thing is I ordered from the owners of this dealership before. I even explained this to their "online specialist". I've ordered a few vehicles in my time and I know the deal. This dude has earned this dealership a 5 star stealer ship award. It's good to see that there are some legit dealerships out there on this forum. I am a very patient man and will wait for the best offer. I'm pre approved from Chrysler Finance to cover the TRX with very little down payment. However I'm trying to work out a better funds deal currently, so time is on my side. I will not be pressured into a deal I'm not happy with. I'll walk...

Thanks for the feed back all!!

I have a “Launch Edition” 2020 Gladiator. Some dealers were asking $25k over (ADM) and I got mine for $10k under. I went back to the same dealer thinking ? I’d get a similar deal on the TRX. Instead they’re at $5k over (ADM).

So, I’m going to wait. Why? Raptor, CyberTruck, Hummer EV and Silverado SST. When 750 to 1,000HP becomes the norm, pricing will fall like a rock and backend rebates will be just like those available on Hellcats now. Also, the wide body will be an option on just about every 1500 Ram.

If you can wait 18 months you’ll save $1,000’s and get an upgraded truck with more HP/TQ with the latest gizmos. My guess will be like the hybrid found in the Jeep 4Xe that brings 100HP/TQ instant hit and 25 miles of electric ⚡️ drive range.

ADM is a touchy subject. To blame it purely on dealer greed is not fair. The last thing I would ever do is defend car dealer sales practices but the fact is ADM would not exist if people were not willing to pay it. On the other hand, I certainly agree that people are free to spend their money as they wish.

You are 100% correct. And we do live in a free market. I as a buyer want to pay as little as possible. And the seller wants to make as much profit as possible. Just keep looking for a deal you feel good with!
