I just noticed that while looking at the window sticker. Very interesting.

It uses a ZF transmission the 8HP95 below is the max gas and diesel torque it can handle and the other production cars it is in. ZF builds amazing automatic transmissions that are quite expensive and we are lucky RAM contracted them to use it in the TRX

Gas Diesel
8HP95 (2nd Generation)9001000Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Trackhawk, Rolls-Royce Ghost Black Badge, Rolls-Royce Wraith Black Badge, Rolls-Royce Dawn Black Badge, Aston Martin DBS Superleggera

Here's one from one of the members here. Take a look at the bottom right corner.

I believe that tranny is similar (if not the exact same) to what's in the Trackhawk and possibly Durango Hellcat. I'm assume due to my Trackhawk being one of the first in 2018 it is probably Gen 1 version...

All the Hellcat engines are mated to the 8HP95 across all FCA brands. I believe the SRT models also get the same German tranny.

Didn't say on my TH window sticker but I believe it is the ZF 8HP95 (not sure which Gen and what is different - Does anyone know?

the 2wd hellcat platforms have the ZF 8HP90 which is the 2wd version of the transmission the trackhawk durango and trx all are using/going to use the 8HP95

All the SRT models from FCA (and most of the 5.7s) get the 8HP70 which "only" has a max torque of 700 lb ft which is why if you are planning on adding power to an RT or SRT you are better off just getting the hellcat version with the beefier transmission

tons of OEMs go to build or source their own Trans.... Almost all will revert to a ZF lol
they are the best for a reason.

the ZF in my 16 hellcat was absolutely incredible....ly brutal in track mode haha

I’m picturing you picking up an srt car and theres a german tranny riding shotgun

Not all ZF products are flawless. When Ram switched to ZF rear axles for the 2011 1500, they had a lot of failures and even a recall due to poor engineering. Not saying the tranny is bad just that as with every manf, they do have product issues at times.

Its a new era man, if a German Tranny comes with the car, it comes with the car. I am more of a Penelope Cruz riding shotgun kind of guy, but there is room for everyone in MAXs America :ROFLMAO:

Hey. I’m not judging. I got a bj from a “girl” in thailand. She was hot but the more I think about it, high probability it was a ladyboy.
