Who is getting it? Why and why not? I am torn....

It looks like its about a 2:1 in favor of it from those built to date. 155 vs 76. It does look interesting and I wouldn't mind trying it out but I have had many years practice backing many different trailers up so I didn't order it on my truck.

I also got it. Not sure I'll use it as I'm comfortable backing up trailers of all sizes into all places : )
On the other hand I use to not understand why you need a backup camera as I was fine with it for 20 years, but now you will not catch me buying a car without it...

I'm getting it mainly because it was on the dealer order sheet lol. I also do not tow alot.

I ended up getting it for a stupid reason. I did not want this spot on the console missing buttons. Don't tow a lot, figure it might help, but ultimately I picked it for look on the dash, ha.

I've been towing small and large heavy duty trailers/5th-wheels for over 10 years, so I clearly don't need it with my experience.

However, I still got it as it looks cool and want to try it out... also part of the truth is I used it as a bargaining chip with my wife to buy the truck so she would feel comfortable backing up our trailer. :)

I'm getting it, too. Might be adding an RV somewhere down the line, and figured it would help, as we are not frequent tow-ers.

I got it because my order philosophy for any car or truck I buy is load it down with all tech and it'll hold its value more when I get rid of it.
Didn't get the trailer tow group because the trailer brake controller automatically comes with the TR2 package.
Only option I didn't get that couldn't be added on later was red stitching.

You cant by a new car without it, its the law.

I did not. Had it on my raptor and didn’t like it. I for some reason lost feeling where the front end was when using it. I also didn’t like my raptor cause I put a tuner on it and blew it up. So, I guess, take that with a grain of salt.

I added it to my order. I don't tow often enough to be very good at backing the trailer.

I also had it on my Raptor and only used it once. I’ve been pulling trailers for 30 yrs and something about using that little knob really messed with my head. I found it completely disorienting. I didn’t order it with my TRX.

I just loaded my truck with everything but the stickers. I doubt if I’ll ever use it though.

MAN! I just back up till I hear a loud noise, Followed with the sound of glass falling!!! Definitely nothing to brag about, I’ve been backing up to trailers since there was a three speed on the column!!!😆

This image from the online builder is misleading. This is what is shown for the "Trailer-Tow Group" and makes it look like the reverse steering is part of that option, but it isn't, and the brake-controller is already part of the TR2 kit as well but they don't discount the tow group if you have both selected. I still added this because I liked the idea of integrated TPMS for my trailers vs the standalone systems I use now.

Yeah I noticed that too. Sounds like you have to break down the tires of your trailer and add the tire pressure monitor sensors that the TRX can register. Sounds like that’s the only way the TRX can monitor the tire pressure of your trailer tires

I didn't order it because I have been backing up trailers my whole life, and I bet I can do a better job than the computer LOL. Plus I was looking where to cut some costs...was a no brainer for me.

Yeah, same for me... I didn’t add it either as I was trying to pick some thing where I could save cost. Also really didn’t want to break down the trailer tires to add the tire pressure monitors, wasn’t worth it for me.

Totally cool optional for those that did get it

I was wonder about the TPMS...they just give you extra sensors to add to the trailer? Or on the valve stems like stand alone units?

Does it state anywhere how many trailer tires it can keep track of?
