So I’ve been dying to get a Trackhawk for some time now and drive it occasionally. It would be garage kept and probably heavily modded over time. Living in Bama they don’t pop up often and one popped up about 2 hours or so away at a Dodge dealership. It’s a 2018 with 42k miles. It’s black on black. The pictures look solid enough for black and it appears to be just about stock besides window tint. The carfax is clean besides 3+ owners. They are asking around 67k for it. I’m sure I can try and negotiate that down somewhat just curious if that mileage aligns with the price based on what others have seen. I had kicked around the idea of getting an SRT instead but I know I’d end up supercharging it or something and would rather start with this power plant.

Actually sounds like a decent price. Could probably get it a bit lower depending on cash or financing. Just be aware its probably been beaten to shit and would have it gone through beforehand. Pull trans, transfer ect fill plug and see how dark the fluids are. They are notorious for dropping both

It would be financing assuming approval. Problem is I can’t get over to the other side of the state to look at during this time of the year. Might just have to pass then.

Thing with TH's is 100% of their owners buy them to beat the shit out of them 100% of the time.
TRXs have old timers here and there that ride them easy a large portion of their ownership.

If you got some dough sitting I would wait till the new year and peek at what is Dodge bringing in.

Also the Durango Hellcat can be had for not much more than the ask for this one from Mark Dodge or others at a discount.

The prices on the trackhawk are the only reason I can't bring myself to purchase one. To find a super low mileage stock one is over 100k and I can't bring myself to spend that on a 5-7 year old grand cherokee.

So I kicked the tires on the Trackhawk. Payment wasn't really lining up and they wouldn't budge at all on the price. Then on top of it they call me back right before calling banks to get loan info and tell me the T case needs replaced. You called it @Air’d outSRT , I consider that a blessing in in disguise.

I will send you the consult bill 😆. I can get you a new transfer for $1,900. Tell them to lower price by 5k

Umm, that's not exactly true.

We had two that were broken in correctly and treated very well. "Worst" was me doing a 60-120 once...and only once since it was such a disappointment compared to doing it with the Challenger.

Other than that they were just used as regular cars and almost exclusively for highway driving.

I'm not your dad but don't finance a 2018 anything esp something thats likely been ridden hard and put away wet..One exception would be a rare exotic that you can pay off in 2 years max, and even then your tax guy will have that disappointed look on his face as he looks at you over his glasses...cheers

Well I had 2 GC SRT's and 2 GC Trackhawks. The SRT's were great vehicles, especially when fully optioned out. The Trackhawks were beyond awesome, again especially when loaded, which most probably are. The Trackhawk launches are absolutely brutal. Honestly I was afraid I was going to break something everytime I launch it really hard. My best 0-60 was 3.0. Most were 3.1 to 3.3. And no stupid ass speed limiter to deal with, but I only took mine to the 160 range. It could probably hit ~180. HOWEVER, the Trackhawks both had some issues. One was, if you launched them hard with less than 1/2 tank of gas, you'd risk the motor cutting out due to fuel staravation. Second they would go into limp mode for some unknown reason. It didn't happen a lot, but it happened. A simple restart would clear it. These are street vehciles. Almost worthless off the road.

Oh, and they eat tire like crazy. If you are lucky you'll get 15k miles per set. And OEM tires (Pirelli's) are 2k per set.

And like the TRX, Stellantis support was no where to be found so Caveat Emptor.

To kinda update where I am in the search here. I’ve been looking at the new jailbreak Durango HC’s. You can get blue with peanut butter interior and orange badges(Auburn fan) and that would be amazing. Would probably be a better route financially and just overall peace of mind.

Curious if anybody knows the best to try and order one since I would want it custom w/ B5 and orange decals w/ peanut butter interior? Call local dealership and just ask? Tbh never went through that process before.

I would reach out to the couple dealerships that are on the site here. I am sure they could help price it out for ya with your exact specifications.

Lets make it happen!

(I suggest orange calipers since the standard is red. you could do black of course)

Ask them to send you the sales codes so you can pick and choose from everything available.

Build and Price is a start, but not a particularly good one.
