Ok, so I am completely new to the TRX world. Been a Ford guy for quite awhile. I did a search and I did find a great modification thread. I read through it and it's overwhelming to a guy like me on which mods I should do first. Now I know only I can know which mods would be best for me...but I thought it would be a fun thread to see...if you could only have 5 modifications to your TRX...what would they be? In other words, what's the first 5 mods you would do to a trx?

Lift + 38s + diff drop + Predator + intake = FTR SEND IT PACKAGE 🤟 :ROFLMAO:

Depends on what you are going for.
Looks (exterior / interior)
Off-road performance
Power
Etc
For me was ceramic coating and all power mods. Been running E85 last 10k miles and wouldn’t change a thing.

What are “all the power mods”
What ceramic coating did you use?
Thanks

Some other thoughts and additions.... I kept our TRX stock and glad (results may vary) - as issues were covered by the warranty (and will be under the extended 5yrs/125k). Unfortunately some dealerships I've experienced (and others) may refuse coverage if tuned..argh.

Phone/accessory mounting: For daily usability and mounting other accessories (which have evolved - like radar mounts/GoPro/etc)... love their products (don't move nor shake while off-road/etc). https://www.bulletpointmountingsolutions.com/collections/ram-trx-phone-mounts?srsltid=AfmBOopJQWJQQHFQficHPLO2Sd9pVw5Lycw4Jzw-GC2CLq0eoQX3uzxK

Exhaust on a budget: SLP Loudmouths replacing the factory resonators. Had mine nicely welded in place and for the money ($200) IMO made it sound perfect. Two of my neighbors have disagreed including cold starts in the morning (backed to the garage for more amplification) but they don't understand the chorus of 702 🦅Bald Eagles and are clearly communists. One of them now has political signs that reflect their eunuch/emasculated status. Go figure. This exhaust solution sounds decent at 105mph too ->
commonly agreed that WHITE is the fastest color and adds HP.

Bed cover: Bakflip MX4. Had on past Raptors, my CTD2500 and now TRX. 15min. install/easy to remove...holds up to off-road abuse. Historically sold the covers (after changing vehicles) for $500 +/- quickly.

$25/year RAM-TRX supporting member donation: My wife's curiosity what a TRX would cost - having noted my CTD2500 was 'an old man's truck' lead in minutes to this forum. In following minutes found Granger in Iowa and did a factory order the next morning (significant discount/price locked off MSRP). Worth the 3000 mile roundtrip and trade-in ($1000 more than offered here in Phoenix - where TRX at the time were $10-20k OVER MSRP!). Upon return from Iowa (and well past the 500 mile break-in... took it on a rare date night (3 toddlers). Heading home on a quiet perimeter freeway - I stopped and did a Launch Control departure. She was laughing at the surreal experience - her spontaneous utterance 'this is such an asshole truck - it's PERFECT for you!".🦖🏆

Great forum and interesting members too, many having come from Raptors like me. Extremely helpful too and met some great folks including DM threads sharing other hobbies, even assisting with service concerns/etc. I work solo/don't really care for Office environments nor topical shallow conversations. This forum is a daily visit and the $ annual donation is the least I can do to support our TRX ownership! Wouldn't have happened without this site! @Nitro for the WIN!

#1 Add Gas

#2 NoLimitZ Bypasses speed limiter - $275 - (It's a little flaky but it works)

#3 Add more gas

#4 Mobilistics Security - $109 - Disables starter until you press a special remote (Maybe not the best security add-on you can buy, but it's easy to install and works perfectly)

#5 Add a lot more gas :)

Installed the Barton Shifter on my manual Challenger. By far the best mod I've done for that vehicle. Completely different driving experience. Did you replace the actual shifter on the TRX or just the knob?

Just the knob, I don’t see an aftermarket shifter for the TRX yet. Knob looks awesome!
