Sheesh. Play there 2-3x a year. Good heads up.Arroyo Trabuco in Mission Viejo. Michael Block’s course.
I use the Club and an electronic immobilizer. The Immobilizer is automatically armed each time I park, the club is manual. I only use the club when parking in a parking lot somewhere. I never use it at home but then "trust me" no one is going to try to steal my truck from my house. End of story.I continue to feel, that a simple Club (or similar) , is the best solution, for some cases. While we all know it not as effective as an electronic immobilizer or other cut-out devices, it is my opinion, that when a thief sees these things, there is a good chance they will move onto the next vehicle. Sure, it can get cut off by a thief, but that is going to make noise and attract attention at someone's home, during late hours. For the small investment you make, I bet it deters a lot of potential losses. Just my 2 Cents.

Sorry to hear these bastards got another one. Time to rig up something fun for these window climbers. Let's try a loop of razer wire filament and a mid seat sensor connected to a pneumatic to snap it tight. O yeah then somehow we are the bad guy. When they start getting beat to death and noone cares about it anymore then it will stop only then.
everyone has an opinion… I’ll just say though…. Unless my life or that of my immediate family are in danger…. I personally would not want to live with the consequences of violence.
At the end of the day… it’s just stuff. Stuff becomes less and less important the older you get. When you’re dead and gone…. All that stuff… is just junk for your kin to sell off and throw away.
Don’t get caught up in the moment… and focus not on your stuff but on the memories you make with those you love.
And if your stuff gets stolen…. Cash in the insurance and get something else.
Think if everyone had a gun and shot anyone that tried to steal their stuff? (and all states had the same laws about this as what, say ND does) Thefts would decrease DRAMTICALLY.
What proximity sensors are you using? Need those. You can PM if you don't want to disclose that info for security reasons. You can get proximity sensors. If a person passes by a sensor, an alarm in your house goes off. Gives you time to get out there with a gun and change their mind. Won't work in all situations, but it can give you a small headstart vs these thugs.
Texas has something called the castle doctrine a.k.a. "stand your ground law" which gives it citizens pretty broad rights in defending life and property. There are exceptions so you need to read and understand the law .Is there any state where you can kill somebody, outside of your home, for trying to steal something when the there is no threat to your life or well-being? Say in our case somebody has broken into your truck and is driving away and with excellent marksmanship you hit him with a shot through the rear window? Or somebody grabs your wife's purse while y'all are walking down the street and is running away with it as fast as they can?
I don't think I could get away with lethal force in those instances even in Alabama. I am, however, an engineer and not a lawyer.
I wish that law applied in Florida. There are a lot of scumbags and mf here. If the police can't clean the city, we (the people) could do it.Texas has something called the castle doctrinaire a.k.a. Georgia is bad too. I have guns but also carry mace like pic related since if Im wrong its only a misdemeanor.I wish that law applied in Florida. There are a lot of scumbags and mf here. If the police can't clean the city, we (the people) could do it.
So, you're willing to lay down your life for your truck? We seem to forget that bad guys have pew-pew's too. I know, I know we're all John Wick when we close our eyes. Family is worth dying for - a truck is not. Until you can guarantee you won't get shot (lol) it's a hell of a gamble my man. It's about risk assessment not political ideology. At the end of the day, it's not their stuff. If someone else's stuff (my stuff) is worth their life, then they can roll those dice. I have a proximity sensor outside my garage and inside my garage. Should give me time to get out there and stop them.
Sounds like you've be conditioned to accept liberal policies. Like you say, it's not wrong, it's just different ideologies. Mine just happens to be the opposite of yours. Imagine if everyone had the "if they want to steal it, let them steal it, I'll just file insurance" attitude. Theft would go RAMPANT.

I don't intend to lay down my life to keep my truck but I'm not going to stand by and watch someone break-in and try to steal it either. It depends on the situation on what actions I take. But, my rule #1 is, assume the thief(s) are armed too and proceed accordingly. So, you're willing to lay down your life for your truck? We seem to forget that bad guys have pew-pew's too. Any update?Alright fellas. Got a call from Long Beach PD (about an hour away for those not familiar with SoCal areas). Truck was left in a neighbor, someone called it in, and it was towed to their yard. I sent a tow truck to go get it and take to a body shop I use. Will report back on the damages when I go see it tomorrow.
The more people that take out those stealing from us all the less of them their will be. The problem comes in when just because things are not worth it to you by proxy they are supposed to not be worth it to others and that's bull. We really do not want to emboldened these kinds of people they will take more and more until it is your life. That my friends is why it is so important we are all of the same mind set. It is not why did they shoot that guy why did some one beat another to death over a truck, it's why did that person decide to steal and loose their life. They are not the victim they are the perpetrator! Just because the victim got the upper hand and ended their career early doesn't change that. We are all much safer when those who wish us harm are uncertain if it will cost them everything. So, you're willing to lay down your life for your truck?
