They got me

I will probably be in Austin area soon for a couple “free” (donation install for the deployed soldiers demon 170 and the coordinator (member here)) all in installs too, $3700 each normally plus travel, so eating a bit too much money 😂😂 but hey, I do love the ones saying I do this for the money though 😮‍💨
I believe you are saying that you will come to Fort Worth and provide/install my free kit. Thanks man!

Why in the world...

Is the door window glass that expensive?
My bad I'm not thinking criminal enough, they don't get a new tailgate they will just bondo and spraypaint it, new owner does not care...
Can access the can network pretty fast and open doors after making a new key there. Then part, fix, sell ect

Well guys. I guess it was matter of time. Yesterday morning at 2am, someone climbed on to the bed of my truck, broke the back window, crawled in, and drove off right out of my drive way.

I’ve owned lots of cars, but nothing ever did it for me like the TRX did. Really bummed. Just thought I’d share.
Sorry man... that's awful.

Not always that easy. Born here, both sides of our family are here, business is here. Plan to get a second home out of state and hopefully start a transition at that point. But yeah, if no family or business ties we'd be out tomorrow.
I'm in the exact same boat. Business and in-laws are here. The wife is an NP and can work anywhere, but I can't move my business.

With all due respect, I had the same thing happen. I bought my ‘21, did all my mods and stopped coming on this board. Only in the last few months did I hear about TRXs being stolen in our area (not Los Angeles). I had my TRX almost 3 years without incident. Before I jumped back on this forum and learned about IGLA, she was taken from an affluent golf course parking lot where they had never had a vehicle stolen before. It happened without me knowing how vulnerable I was. It sucks and I paid the price and now have a new lunar edition fully outfitted and fully protected. Not everyone lives on these boards every day. Cut those that don’t some slack when they get snake bitten. Having been victimized, I will check back occasionally on the forums to see if IGLA has been compromised or if there are any new security trends for owning the best truck to ever be built. These boards are supposed to be constructive not critical.
I'm in SoCal as well - what golf course if you don't mind? If you don't want to make it public you could PM me.

I wish that was the case. The only time I make a dime is if I install it myself or one of my dealers buys an IGLA from me so they can install it and make the actual money. I make nothing helping others with information, finding installers, coordinating installs that need to be done separately like a compustar, the hours upon hours of tech support a day for not only everyones else’s customers (in which the installer should be helping them but I say nothing and just help) but for dealers and distributors too. It keeps my mind busy, something that keeps me away from the drugs and alcohol or worse like the rest of the guys in my previous unit. Someone has to do it, if people don’t like it then there is an ignore option and also a scrolling open 🤷‍♂️

Thank you for this updated information! Finally have an installer near me!
If you're going to this place, they did me well! 5 stars. I have not been to the other place listed for WA yet.

Yeah the can wires are obviously visible right there, but I still don't get why cut into the body instead of smashing a window even if it's insulated double glass...

Alarm system I assume

I continue to feel, that a simple Club (or similar) , is the best solution, for some cases. While we all know it not as effective as an electronic immobilizer or other cut-out devices, it is my opinion, that when a thief sees these things, there is a good chance they will move onto the next vehicle. Sure, it can get cut off by a thief, but that is going to make noise and attract attention at someone's home, during late hours. For the small investment you make, I bet it deters a lot of potential losses. Just my 2 Cents.

Glass break/shock sensors? Cutting into the sheet metal in the back with a cutoff wheel won't set off the alarm, and you can tap into the CAN network and program a key, then disarm the alarm.

Not hard at all to cut a steering wheel, and done from inside the vehicle, not going to make much noise at all. Hell, a ratcheting PVC cutter will make quick work of the wheel, and be virtually silent.
