Ya protect your shit! It’s not the governments shit. You want the government to protect your truck? Go protect your own truck. But a gun fight is a lot worse than a stolen truck, right?I keep several loaded firearms in the house and on my person, one of them is a cheaper pump tactical 12 gauge loaded with non lethal rubber bullets. They aren’t armed, they are going to know what happened after they wake up bruised and broken boned. If they are armed or in my drivers seat that has a “throwaway” on a magnet mount then, you can use your imagination, gen 5 glock 45 9mm with a g-flex trigger and full mag will be needing cleaned. I can’t stand a damn thief!
Nope not at all, combat retired M2 50 cal gunner for escort teams. Its second natureYa protect your shit! It’s not the governments shit. You want the government to protect your truck? Go protect your own truck. But a gun fight is a lot worse than a stolen truck, right?
You bet, but the second time they came back they couldn't find the horn behind the grill and took off. Then they came back again for a second look to confirm the horn wasn't there and I haven't seen them since. The house vid cam video the whole thing and plus pickup their car they were driving, so I sent it the police. They know you wellthey are becoming part of your life. I hate those mf
Interesting on the non lethal ammo...had not thought about that...I hate thieves and we all talk tough about defending our trucks...but I am sure as shit not shooting anyone for stealing my truck...take it..If you're in my house way diff story..I keep several loaded firearms in the house and on my person, one of them is a cheaper pump tactical 12 gauge loaded with non lethal rubber bullets. It’s a good idea, but One thing on non Lethal. I wouldn’t say this is for the average person. @Air’d outSRT has training, as do I and few of us from military, LE etc. For the average person (who doesn’t train often with their firearms) if you do this, and aren’t prepared you bring a beanbag to a gunfight and get yourself killed, if you have the right to defend yourself, do it to the limit allowed.Interesting on the non lethal ammo...had not thought about that...I hate thieves and we all talk tough about defending our trucks...but I am sure as shit not shooting anyone for stealing my truck...take it..If you're in my house way diff story..
Air'd outSRT installed both on mine. Works better than stock in my opinion. I hid the factory keyfob in the car, use the Compustar proximity arm/unarm, and carry the IGLA fob in my pocket. Walk up car unlocks/disarms, jump in IGLA deactivates and I drive off. I used the drone app to remote start etc.... Any issues with this setup are on the installer, not the equipment IMO.If they can install Compustar T13 and IGLA without any issue?
Front windows are laminated for safety, rear are only tempered. Thats why they break the rear ones, also to try to have it "blend in" and so they dont have to sit on glass.Glad you had security and they didn't get your truck. It looks like you have tint on your front windows and that kept the glass together. Probably the reason the broke the back window out since they couldn't get in the front. I have just the front windows tinted on mine. They broke the front window on mine but the tint kept the glass together and they gave up apparently. I have IGLA on mine also but might get my back windows tinted also to make it harder to get into the truck.
I didn't know that, thanks! Do you think tint would help hold the rear glass together at all?Front windows are laminated for safety, rear are only tempered. Thats why they break the rear ones, also to try to have it "blend in" and so they dont have to sit on glass.

Yeah, the back window was tinted as well. The bad guys took the whole back window out with very few pieces falling down inside the door and vehicle. And since it was trash day, he was nice enough to dispose the window into the neighbors trashcan that was at the curb. They were clean thief's.Tint will help keep the glass together when it breaks, so shattering will be reduced, but otherwise not further than that. Depends on how they break it. In the many car accidents ive been to, and have had to pop glass, its hit or miss depending on how the impact is.
Thats where we differ. If I can legally shoot someone for trespassing and committing a felony whether by force or just stealing something I own that is in the felony range, they are dead. Not doing so sends the wrong message that they can do what they want with no repercussions from the victims or laws. Put a few down and they will reconsider their life choices. Won’t be my first and at the rate the US is going it won’t be my last unfortunatelyInteresting on the non lethal ammo...had not thought about that...I hate thieves and we all talk tough about defending our trucks...but I am sure as shit not shooting anyone for stealing my truck...take it..If you're in my house way diff story..
You don’t drive it at all? It takes about 10 seconds to clone/relay the signal, open, start and drive it away. Opening a garage door is just as easy as taking the vehicle unfortunately
What glass did you get installed? Is it something special? For the low, low price of $752, All Star Glass came to my office and replaced both windows in 1.5 hours. So much better than losing the truck.
Get protected, stay protected.
This is a small fraction of a fraction of a percentage of a fraction of mopars in general and then a fraction of those are stolen and then a smaller fraction of those are from inside a garage. Like I mentioned before, thieves are always adapting. They see the same anti thefts over and over, they will adapt, they start seeing the vehicles they need in garages and carport’s then guess what they are doing, arming up and going in to get them. There are videos everywhere of this happening. So just a heads up, the day will come when that is their next option, home invasion or break in with an armed lookout. Illinois is in for a hell of a time come January. The new cashless bond bullshit. No arrests no nothing for almost everything, just a summons ticket. Home invasion with no physical harm are just let free. No pretrial jail time. Its already a joke there, now its going to get insaneI haven't read about a single truck being stolen out of someone's garage or shop on this forum. I know it's possible, but it's very rare. As a matter of fact, all of the thefts I've read about were parked in a residential driveway/street, airport, or public parking lot/structure. My garage doors will be a major pita for a dirt bag to open. I am not concerned about my truck being stolen from my garage.
