Theft attempt…. (Saved by IGLA) *Southern California *

So yesterday night some low lifes decided to try and steal my truck. My stupid ring cameras for some reason didn’t catch anything but they broke my rear sliding window and went in thru there. Once they realized they couldn’t duplicate a key due to IGLA, they opened driver door and this triggered my alarm to go off.

My wife called as i work nights and she was panicking. I told her to calm down and call cops since i was confident they couldn’t defeat the IGLA system. Sadly my wife is now questioning if we should sell the truck, and to be honest sometimes i wonder the same. Is it worth the risk of having this happen again or much worse putting my wifes life or mine at risk for a truck.

For the countless people still debating over ravelco or igla…. Igla works! And i will be having compustar installed soon as well. If it wasn’t for having this system, my truck would have been gone.

Glad you still have it and totally understand. Living in fear isn’t a good thing though, shotgun with non lethal rounds will make all others think twice before trying. Now that they know it has IGLA they will spread the word and hopefully it will not happen again.
Sorry our country is turning into a 3rd world shithole

Did your ring cameras not catch anything or did they knock those out too? Just read another article about wifi jammers being used in more thefts as well as home invasions. That sucks your truck took some damage but at least it's still yours.

Ontario is a huge city. Not exactly specific information. I don’t see street names or a house address? I’m putting IGLA stickers on my TRX to try and prevent the perpetrators from breaking my windows. Think that is giving them too specific of information? Give me a break!

I often park on the streets of Chicago when visiting my girlfriend. Every morning I wake, look out her balcony, and wonder if all my windows will be intact. I have IGLA, a club(pointless but visual), IGLA stickers on all four doors and recently installed shatterproof film on the back windows. When I was in the car business we installed shatterproof film and it seemed to work well, hopefully I will never find out. I bought a more city friendly Acura last week to reduce my stress levels.

Really? Haven’t heard of any IGLA thefts. I guess everyone who’s installed them that’s putting stickers on their TRXs are just sitting ducks?!

Glad they didn’t get it. I can tell you personally that Revelco does not work. Didn’t even slow the thieves down who took mine. I am going to try one more truck and definitely install IGLA. Hopefully they didn’t scratch it up and it’s an easy fix.
