Tazer DT

Yes, a 12-14v battery and a set of wires or a powerprobe
Green wire connector looks like the right one on both rear wheels. Just gotta track down some wire probes now… buried somewhere in tool box. Can’t feel how that connector comes off and I really don’t wanna pop the wheels off. Maybe get be jury rigging some mirrors to see what the top of that connector looks like. It’s either that or I’m poking holes in the wires with my probes… seems like a bad idea.

Honestly its far faster to pop the rear wheels off, chock the front, jack up the rear diff and pull both off. Taking that 10 minutes to remove them is better than 2 days of looking for stuff to use and then trying to crawl underneath like Macgyver’s second cousin twice removed and hoping you do it correctly 🤷‍♂️

For me,
I use it for the amber lights, auto fold, front camera, brake hold, tires pressure as well as the spedometer calibration when I change tires, and the most comon reason is the lightshow.

All of the above I used it for my 2019 DT ram Laramie, I just got a TRX and didn't install the tazer yet, but I will be using it for the same features (minus the front camera)

Found my probes and alligator clips. Snapped some pics of the connectors. Now I just need to get them off without breaking them. Doesn't look too difficult - famous last words. Happen to know which is positive and which is negative? Looks like one of the green wires has a stripe. Also... Tazer DT is going in the trash after this. Need an Igla, but I'm in Denver. Any dealers out here you'd recomend?

They don’t have a dedicated positive or negative. You put positive on one and negative on another and it closes, swap them and it opens. Colorado Car Audio can get you setup with whatever you need.

Wow I never had an issue with my Tazer but I only use it for the mirrors, Amber Lights and fog light mods. After reading this I'm also of thinking of trashing mine before it becomes an issue.

I never used mine for the Pin security, Im lucky where I work we have armed guards/gates and I park mine in the garage so it's never really in a place to get stolen. I also have the Fortin GPS tracker/ignition cut off installed.

after my initial experience with the Tazer. I just use it for the amber lights. nothing else. not married.

E-brake released. Shouldn’t have to worry about anything else once I pull that neutral strap, should roll fine? Can I leave those e-brake connectors unplugged? Or do I need to plug them back in?
You can leave them for now. I guess you figured out which one you power and ground.

Some get them in the mail, plug it in, turn on ignition… bricked. Its a garbage product that he keeps adding shit to and has no idea what he is doing, clearing eeprom over and over and constant rewriting isn’t a good thing.

Yeah, I might’ve been ok if I hadn’t been using the PIN feature to kill the throttle codes, apply brakes, flash lights lights… etc. Didn’t realize it was actually erasing the throttle codes from the truck and re-writing them each time I entered the PIN. Like you said, can’t be good to write to the truck over and over and over. I imagine having the Pedal Commander inline also complicated things. Only other thing on Tazer I was using was the auto-fold on the mirrors. I do like that feature but I’ll just study up and apply via AlfaODB, that’s what I did on a Raptor for a few things prior to TRX. Had a pedal commander on that truck too cause the 2014 Fors gas pedals were sloppy sluggish slow. 7yrs and never had any issue like this. Of course it had a real key with a key hole in the steering column and a manual e-brake too…

You can't enable auto folding mirrors with AlfaOBD.

Quick update, dealer confirmed a fried RF Module (aka RF Hub). Already replaced and picking up truck this afternoon. They also confirmed all my ground wires were good, and that there's no lead in the 3rd brake light or rear window. Fortunate the dealer didn't hassle me and everything is covered under warranty! Tazer is going in my trash can. Big thanks to everyone who commented and helped me troubleshoot!

Can’t say I am not surprised. Glad they took care of you and you didn’t have to send Ol’ Joe the bill like countless others

Does anyone know know if I can set Baja as the set drive mode with the Tazer instead of Sport?
