SRT Returns

A master class on how to say something without saying anything at all.
Amen. Almost as much of a game changer as hearing they are going to race trucks . . .

How about some product announcements that someone cares about? Or just one for that matter . . .

With the state of the world the last 4 years and the auto industry pumping out monochrome Karenmobiles and EVs, this IS a huge announcement.

To put SRT on the map they have to stop just worrying about Hp and figure the traction problem.

That should be square 1.
Get some AWD cars and better handling SRT will sell to everyone, not just us loyal buyers.

Mustang popularity and sales have steadily dropped, Camaro is always on life support. People are looking for options. Time to gain some markets with refreshed models and appeal.

This is great news ! Viva La SRT !
3-4-5 years ago there were forum members telling me over and over.....EV were going to make up 100% of the vehicles on the road, you WILL be driving an EV and there is nothing you can do about, so get used to it. To them I again say:

For the first time in the wild I saw one of the new EV chargers, it actually looks really good in person. Good proportions and interior very nice as well. If they throw a hemi in it… man that thing would sell like crazy! Unfortunately right now they are rotting on lots

I think they look fine. Some more aggressive styling cues added and a hybrid awd Redeye setup and I'd be very interested. I have zero interest in an EV.

I wonder how conducive the new platform is to a standard V8 driveline? Would the vehicle always be hamstrung by it's EV design roots?

Went to look at one as well few months back. Very nice design. Was told it’s wider than a modern wide body challenger/charger as is. Awesome interior. Looks a lot more luxurious. Love the look of the body but yes needs a hemi

I'm not sure. I think they really had a GREAT thing going with a platform so versatile that it accepts all the different drivetrains that it does AND can be a 2 or 4 door. But Taveres killing the V8s was a ball buster, especially for THIS brand.

Big question is why the new Charger has a trans / driveshaft tunnel?
Bet money, they are working on a HC version as we speak!

Hurricane ones which already some test cars out
That was the plan from the beginning under Tavares, to have Hurricane engines in them after the EV versions come out.

If the Hurricane can fit, I hope the V8 can too. We shall see.
