Hmm. Thats pretty lame. Only FCA products that I ever wanted were SRT engineered. It kind of makes sense tho because the hellcat motor only has so many years left before it will get dropped. If Stellantis doesn't make some sort of internal pivot to electric soon, they are going to be left too far behind. Sad reality. Look at GM flailing to get anything electric going because they were late to the party.

Tho the verbiage of that PR sounds like layoffs are coming as well.

Didn’t this happen before, yet here they are. Not sure what this means but I can tell you the only reason I considered a product from FCA was the performance specifications and the proven performance on the road and track. I took a leap of faith buying an FCA product and hope it is everything they advertised. Once the performance is gone, so am I.

Did SRT have any hand in the TRX ?

Yep. Their final project. Don't need SRT anymore when your eliminating their projects and using Alfa Romeo platform for Dodge's next vehicles

I am ok with the industry going to electric as long as they figure out how to tow for a significant distance.

That’s the problem. I have a Tesla x and it can tow well but you can’t get into a supercharger with a trailer hooked to it. Have to back in and the cords are too short. So only towing around town is feasible.

Saw the news - glad the SRT team was around to get the TRX done.

I hope they have a new performance division or team come together at some point to ensure that in addition to being fast, the successors to the Challenger Hellcat and the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio are as engaging to drive and as the outgoing versions.

The Model S in Ludicrous mode may be stupid fast, which I can appreciate, but beyond the straight line speed (until it overheats and goes into limp mode) it just does not excite me the way that the HC and Giulia QF do.
