I am curious to see if anyone has tried yet on the TRX, or other prior vehicle orders, to renegotiate their pricing. Some people in the forum, including myself, agreed to a mark up at the time of purchase. Given the delays, lack of communication, etc., does anyone see the possibility for negotiating that mark up? The dealership probably won't come down to MSRP, but some movement would be good. Are they concerned enough about cancellations to work with you?

I doubt it. Our sold orders are just helping them get one to the lot faster. They’ll find someone else to buy it. And they’ll wait for people to refuse when it’s there in person before they move on price. There will always be one person willing. It’s not a lot full of them.

That said, I’ve never tried. My opinion only. You might be able to get them to do something on a warranty or maintenance.

My Dealer has told me some customers have called & offered 10k over if anyone backs out.. My dealer sold all 3 of his allocations @ MSRP. He said he gets calls every day asking about the TRX. I seriously doubt they care if you back out. Someone right behind you to fill your shoes. I cant wait to see what the first few bring $$ on eBay..

Call flower motors in Montrose Colorado they are selling at MSRP for those that think every dealer will mark up these trucks I’ll walk away. I didn’t have to put any money down to get an order in FYI

They don't have any allocations. There are dealers willing to sell at MSRP when they get their next allocation but who knows when that will be.. For this first round of trucks, I think a lot of people will be willing to pay a little extra to have some of the first ones. Just like when the first Hellcats came out.

My order was completed and sent without any allocations. I had contact a few dealers around Colorado who wouldn’t even allow me to place an order. So not quite sure what an allocation will actually do for anyone around here. My salesman told me I would receive my truck around the second or third week in January.

When I ordered mine way back when, I sent a text to the dealer that said if 2021 got here and I didn't have a truck that I got $5K back. It looks like we will at least have a discussion but there's no way I'm relinquishing my order.

As far as the allocations vs. dealers just selling trucks they don't have coming, it's a guessing game at this point. Your dealer can tell you it will show up mid-January but that doesn't mean squat. There will be a lot of hurt feelings once the trucks start showing up and people realize there dealer sold them on what they believed instead of reality.

People were lining up here to pay WAY over MSRP months ago and I'm sure the anticipation has only made it worse.

This exactly..

If your dealer did not have an allocation it will be a very long time before you get one, imo, but hope for your sake I'm wrong. This happened to me. I had one on order for 3 months at a dealer without an allocation and never even got a VIN. I started over and found a dealer with an allocation and paid just barely over MSRP. I believe at this point any dealer that proclaims to have an allocation left and willing to sell at MSRP is not being truthful or they've been living on a different planet since August!

Honestly if you were willing to pay ADM when you first ordered then you should still be open to paying it.

This truck is not a one year wonder like a Demon so you can always back out of your deal and start over.

I was able to use the Costco purchasing program and got it for 1000 over dealer cost. Not sure if it is still in program due to demand, but I saved about 4000 below sticker. Worth looking into if you are changing dealers.
