How can we remove Speed Limiter?
Further, how can we remove Speed Limiter without voiding warranty? Probably impossible.

This thing is too easy to get to 118 (I didn't even try 120 once I felt the limiter kick in.)

You know there's a reason they put a speed limiter on it, right? Are you going to address those reasons before just arbitrarily eliminating it?

The first reason is the tires - and unless you are willing to go the rubber band way, you will be hard pressed to find tires that are rated fast enough. Next is the suspension that is not stiff enough to speeds higher then 120-130.
But hey its your truck, if you want to try and remove the limiter go ahead. I'm sure the one time you'll do 130 or 140 (which is where I believe the truck will end up without a limiter) you'll be fine.....

It’s a truck. It’s a lifted truck. Why do you want to drive it beyond 119mph? Buy a fun car or two or 10…. It’s much safer and they handle it much better. Just my 2 cents.

You’re going to need some sort of programmer to do it. The whole “without voiding” warranty may depend on the relationship you have with the local service department. You tweak the programming and then the motor shits the bed, and you could be done.

If the time ever comes for warranty concerns and possibly even resell you might find yourself with more inconvenience then it's worth. I know for me, it would be a huge red flag to find a top speed in there above 118.

In the past 20+ years I've owned several Vettes, SRT's and even a couple of Trackhawks.... About 95% of my driving is on the highway and in rural areas. I very often (several times a month) drive in the 100 to 120 range but I doubt that I've driven over 120 more than ~20 times in all those years..... But all those vehicles had the tires and were designed for those higher speeds... If it were easy to bypass the speed limiter on the TRX, I'd probably do it (just becasue I don't like "speed limiters") but I doubt that I'd push it much beyond 120.

I'd like mine gone, or at least raised, so it won't hit the limiter right as I'm passing someone.

And it's highly unlikely that a tire will give out during a 130 mph burst. That max speed rating is for sustained use and with a max load.

The question isn't about how to drive my truck it's about removing a limiter. But thank you for being concerned about my safety

Whoever is telling me the truck will break or I'll pop a tire. Just pay attention to how easy it goes 110-120 truck feels solid and true at that speed on good ground.

Secondly, it's not like I'm going to try to go crazy high but 120 is a breeze on this truck and doesn't feel unsafe at all. Thanks to those of you looking out for being the angel on my shoulder I appreciate it.

That's exactly where I'm at with it. 120 is slight for this truck or drives true at that speed tbh.

Appreciate it. If you get some open road let the truck hit the limiter and you'll see it drives well at 110-120 range. Doesn't feel unsafe at all.

Glad you said it lol got sick of explaining. Couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve hit 140 with bigger heavier trucks on same rated tires

Yeah for sure. Ass is grass at that point. I wouldn't go crazy far past it honestly. Truck does the limit on open road so easily though. 😅

It's been 29 minutes......I'm getting WORRIED 😟

Sorry. I underestimated how long it would take to drive to “Mexico” for testing

Muahahaha. It works like I guessed it would

I just made multiple GPS confirmed runs at 140+
Granted this is on factory tires so don’t try this is at home etc etc
