RealTruck GoRack?

Finally got the extrusion bars I was waiting on about 16 hours before we were scheduled to leave for the mountains. SO...WHAT DID I DO NEXT??

Stayed up till 3am installing the GoRack and the Cross bars for no purpose that served our trip whatsoever lol. Was just super excited haha. And i'm in absolute love with the look and the utility of the rack. Was amazed at everything we fit into the bed (gear for our family of 5 + 2 pups) and still had tons of room to spare

Really sharp, love it!!

How close are the mounts at the stake pocket to the inside edge of the bed? Could you put a tri-fold tonneau cover on it?

I'll be reinstalling my Truxedo roll-up when I get back home to test but I'm 99% positive a tri-fold would work just fine. Plus you theoretically have 3 slots you could use inner, center, and outer to give some extra breathing space

Nice. thanks!
Here's a quick pick of the rear i just took. Hopefully, you can see what i'm talking about!

Side note: i have not yet trimmed the little plastic keeper flush yet so ignore that

I dont think you do actually! The GoRack mounts 2 diff ways: 1) in the T-channels or 2) in the stake pockets. We've got 1 coming soon that we're mounting in the stake pockets!
Amazing to me - how little the stake pockets are used

Truth! I wasn't sure it would be super solid given only 1 bolt goes in each corner, but man this thing feels like an absolute tank now. Looking forward to getting the tent on top and then sending it down a whoop section. Let's see who's lying about dynamic weight capacity :ROFLMAO:

I think we've ALL been there with accessories, often for nothing more than our personal 'look back' walking into a restaurant! Memories of matching red double windshield wipers from KMart on my 1985 Toyota XCab and severely limited teen budget!

Are you going to try a RTT or maybe two FLATED roof cargo modules - mounted side by side? Would be neat to cleanly (for luggage contents) have a place to store stuff...leaving the bed for your tent/recovery gear/etc. https://flated.com/products/large-carrier23

Then MOLLE panels for various 'lifestyle accessories and ACTIVITES!'. I like the angled sides for mounting lights without extending beyond the bedsides.

Perhaps your pending review can be a hybrid GoRack/Stepbrothers scene? :p

  • Curious re: your pending plans!
  • ??? Are the crossbars easily removed for loading tall objects in the bed?
  • Assume a folding Bakflip MX4 would not 'flip' with encroaching side rails?

Ive got tons of ideas to test involving rack and Flated dont u worry! And they are about as stable as those bunk beds haha. Remove 4 carriage bolts and the cross bars come off. 30 seconds/bar

For now, the RTT is going on top when we get back from vacation.

Yes and no, you see the bar but you can still everything just fine. The bar does not physically block the entire camera though to wear all you see is a black screen.

Took this for you. (y)

Does it interfere with the center high rear view camera at all? Any obstruction to the field of view?
Just seein this message now. The rack is not visible at all in the 3rd brake light camera (digital rear view). The cross bars I added on top of the rack are just barely visible at the very bottom of the the digital rear view.

But I just added the RTT tn and I dont even need to go inside to know my digital rear-view is now useless 😂. I've got another camera on the way and some cables so I plan to re-route the digital rearview camera to another location at some point.
