This looks so cool. What is the weight saving?

We have not weighed one yet but I will venture to say this is more of a cosmetic mod.

Negligible, I just did the swap and the stock hood is surprisingly light. If you are thinking of doing it for weight savings alone don't do it, but if you want the look and the functionality of the vents being open then that's worth the change. Plus my BWoody sits right under the vent on the passenger side so the supercharger whine is noticeably louder. About as much of a difference from going from stock CAI to BWoody. Needless to say, the supercharger whine is loud.

I have the BWoody also and it's loud as hell already. Do you have sound clips? Also, are you worried about water getting on the intake when it rains or does that not matter?

This is on my list of mods minus the hood. What wheels are those? I like the concavity of them.

I just put it on a few weeks ago and it's dead winter right now in Colorado so no rain to worry about at the moment. I just put on a K&N DryCharger cover over the filter which is supposed to help keep moisture out, although the DryCharger is not meant to be waterproof, just water resistant. I do put drying towels under both vents when doing a car wash and I use the self-clean wash bays to control how much water goes in the vents. The driver-side vent opens right to your ECM and Battery area and obviously the opposite side to my CAI. Automatic washes send a lot of water through, lol. I tried it once, but my towels were severely soaked.

Also, Anderson Composites says to use a heat shield and hood pins. I used the heat shields from the stock hood and left the air induction piece on even though I don't use it. Save yourself money on buying a new heat shield. The hood pins I didn't do that either as there is no good place for them on this hood IMO. This is a personal choice. The hood seems stable enough with the stock anchor points, but again this is the risk I am willing to take. I left the stock hood struts on which are a little too strong for the hood so I have to pull slightly on one strut when closing the hood to avoid any cracking to the fiberglass that the anchor points are on.

As far as IAT. I've only really paid attention once. It was 37 degrees out and my IAT was 68 degrees. I don't have any reference to what it was before the hood swap. Thinking of creating a hole behind the front grille on the passenger side to let additional air in, but I will need to do something so that I can close it for inclement weather. My truck is my daily driver, but I don't drive it daily and I park it in the garage. So this hood may be more practical for me than others.

Is there any wait time on these, and do you know if there are commonly any issues with fitment?

The carbon fiber trim pieces from Anderson Composites. Hood vents, hood scoop, fender and light trim pieces etc. Looking at all of the above.

Perfect fitment, we run them on ours. We only recommend to have them re-cleared before install to protect them from the sun.

What do you mean by re-cleared? Any issues with rain? To be exact from the driver side.

Let me re-phrase that. Clear stealth wrap to prevent it from UV exposure. No issues with rain, we are in Florida also.
