Want to piss off the purist? We have you covered with TRX lowering kits for street or drag strip. These were originally developed for drag purposes and now offer a street version. Before the purist respond, we have had many owners contact us before this was available. Many loved the truck but were either older or handicap. This is a great option.

I understand it for those who need it or drag race but think speed bumps and ramped drives might cause issue. Damn that looks goofy!

If in a couple years, low cost high milage TRXs become available, I will do this.

Don't apologize for offering this. I get tired of people thinking they have to do what they think other people will approve of. There is a market for this. I don't off road my truck and use it for street use. I've pondered doing this myself, but never saw a legit solution offered to lower. I'm not ready to pull the trigger quite yet, but now I know it's an option. Put some better wheels on that truck and it would look good.

When you do this stuff you bought the wrong vehicle you ment to buy a car and accidentally purchased a truck. Say what you will but trucks are for lifting not for slaming!

I like it. Needs different wheels and tires for better looks. Maybe a wide body kit. Yes even wider lol. A little low for my taste unless it was on bags.
@TRXMIKE
Was this you I saw today? How much lift is this guy running 🤔. Forgive the quality of the dash cam screen shot.

Nope, mine still has a mullet! Looks like some good rise there. That truck either lives the good life or just wastes away for show.😁

What do the control arm angles look like with these?
Actually the control arms are fine. It’s the rear that needs help once you get below 8” drop on the rear.
Core4x4 makes adjustable rear links for a surprisingly affordable price.

In my opinion, Adjustable front arms are only needed in my opinion if you are trying to tighten up all the suspension if launching high torque and sticky tires to keep the alignment

Me too...

Would love some large NASCAR style rubber (taller/wider on black rims) with a massive lower DTM style splitter on the front....and obnoxious/functional rear wing.

Upsetting purists is 50% of the motivation :ROFLMAO: 🔥🦖

Lifts vs Stock vs Lowering.

Lifts at least have a useful aspect (more clearance).

Lowering looks silly, imo. Some may think lifting looks silly - but at least lifting has an everyday useful, functioning aspect.
What's the point of lowering?

Speed?

There are waves of things way the heck faster than a TRX. So lowering a 4x4 has always been "odd" to me.

One could argue that a lift is also not useful for 99.9% of trx owners (Fullthrottlerick excluded)
How many TRX owners are routinely bottoming out?
Worse MPG, less stable

Lowering- better mpg, Smaller/lighter tires= less rotating mass and faster
more stable, keep usability of truck bed.

I would not be one to lower the truck ever, but there are pluses and minuses to both in a functionality standpoint.

Also the faster than argument is counterproductive to the entire culture of modify, go faster, break, modify again. go even faster, break, etc... 💰

Further musings...

It's an 'Original' direction to take... purpose built in this case for aggressive launches but surely potential for corners/appropriate shock tuning.

I'd love to see (again) a lowered/DTM style TRX build for canyon carving/stop light launches/etc. at the www.SEMAShow.com...

....than the typical (Lifted) 'rinse + repeat' Shampoo builds -> spacer 'lift'/37's and A.D.D. bumpers and color matched fender flares year after year. While I yearn to see 74Weld/Wolverine Portals, 40"+ tires and more bulbous (girth) front and rear flares for something different...but alas I don't expect anything different at this years November show. Maybe MOPAR will offer a 'RHO emblem delete package' for owners whose spouses like to say their implants are the real thing too.

The TRX platform (unlike my past Raptors) has the product development excitement of offering different Googley Eyes for Pet Rocks (showing my age/70's viral seller). There is usually a crescendo of excitement then often a post coital let down as the related marketing/distribution, low volume $$$ costs of production or 'failure to perform' contributes.

Somebody, somewhere (probably a former Eastern block country) is currently stuffing a TESLA S powertrain into a salvaged US TRX... I applaud anything different that helps 'sway' the median/current trends, even if not my 'end user' preference.

Seems like performance pickups aka "Sport Trucks" will be making a return (no doubt fueled by F150 Coyote 4wd shortbeds with superchargers trending nationwide), never know... these kits/direction may actually become a robust modification and sub-category on this forum?! Taking wagers LOL!

I needed a larger truck to haul the family (it's really the only reason I started looking at trucks at all instead of cars), but I could see a well priced mid-size truck like a Dakota with an N/A V8 selling like crazy in today's market. Add a supercharger or the optional supercharger like Ford is doing in the F-150 and you have a nice market to sell to.

Private company/eccentric Founder -> I worked at for 20yrs - we had Tahoes/Suburbans as our 'War Wagons' around metro-Phoenix. Added Magnuson superchargers without any issues...NEEDED as with 4-5 passengers/luggage and extreme heat they were miserably slow merging in traffic/etc. One has over 150k on it without any supercharger related issues!

A story I relayed to Magnuson rep's at SEMA and our local Barrett-Jackson that year... (those from Arizona will know the ramp and resort!).

One evening I picked up major NRA Political lobbyist/Founder's buddy at Sky Harbor - as two lane ramp traffic at the West end of the Airport, veered N/B then merged into one (for I-10 W/B).
  • Tony was looking around the inside of my LTZ Suburban "Geez, we have a black Suburban exactly like this in Baltimore...."
  • Tony then visually noted an aggressive Mercedes sedan to my left now 'fighting' for the on-ramp 'Pole Position' and got nervous...ending his commentary.
  • Fortunately the Suburban's perfect downshift at WFO and supercharger whine surprised him and we accelerated ahead of the Merc'.
  • I then attempted in my best 'layman' terms to describe the modification(s) and ballpark cost - given his suddenly excited follow-up questions.
  • Tony had once hunted lions in Tanzania (rumored to have killed villagers) and other intense self-pursuits... yet, his surprise no doubt fueled by the soundtrack (Magnuson whine) elicited a surprising response!
  • When I dropped Tony at a $$$ Villa (part of The Phoenician Resort), he invited me inside. His wife had arrived a day prior but his spontaneous utterance wasn't "Honey, I missed you"... No, it was "Honey - you gotta come for a ride in their Suburban!!! So we were about to enter the highway and then.... " :ROFLMAO:
...my work Suburban created a new customer.
