Hey everyone, wanted to provide a quick update now that I've made the 1400 (exactly) miles trek back home from Granger.
A few notes worth the honorable mention:

A few notes worth the honorable mention:
The good:
- My experience in terms of how fast you are in and out are exactly as everyone else stated. Because I e-signed everything prior to arrival, Shelby had me in and out in <5 minutes, which is nuts. Price was locked in since December with no hidden fees and that's what I paid so couldn't be happier on that front.
- Truck only had 17 miles on it, as expected and was clean on arrival (but see below) although it was a gloomy cold day (54 degrees).
- I had no issues, or random noises, any fuse-related things (yet!) on my 20+ hour/1400 mile trip back home. I did perform the breakin procedure on the way back, because I had the time to do. It looks like in auto, I averaged 13.4 mpg, cruising mostly at 70-80mpg where I could.
- My truck is a Diamond Black Level 2 (they must of had no less than 10 of those on the lot waiting for pickup) with the rear TRX graphics. When I was walking around the truck, I started to notice what looked to be dried up white polish or glaze around some parts of the trim and ON the trim. I then asked (I'm assuming it was Brittany but I never got her name) told me they polish all the black TRXs then they arrive). While its a nice gesture, for those of you who are maybe not Obsessed Garage level about their trucks but do your own polishing and coatings, had I known this was going to be something they did, I would of politely declined for them to do it.
- Why you ask? Whomever did the polishing really didn't know what they were doing and/or where in such a hurry they didn't bother to wipe off any residual white polish from the black trim/truck. Why does that matter? Polish or compound, depending on the type, can permanently fade black trim if left off requiting you to either replace it, or have to use some type of trim restorer in hopes of bringing it back to new. While it was ALL over the place, I will have to spend some time using some APC getting the polish off of the bed rails, window trim, and out of some of the cracks around the truck. Additionally, you should never polish over graphics if you can avoid it as it could alter and/or fade, in my case, the expensive black TRX graphics on the truck. I may be able to recover that once I decon, clay and prep the truck myself for coating as ceramic coating over graphics can add some additional gloss to the graphics but hopefully you get my point.
- As I mentioned above, Granger Motors is a super small building on the same lot as Granger Ford. My assumption, without asking while I was there, was that Granger Motors does not have or own any mechanics or techs. At a minimum, I was told they do not have a body shop on site. My truck appeared to only have 2 small issues (without combing through it with a fine tooth comb)that if I bought this from my local dealership (and none of are because we're saving a TON of money!) would of be taken care of either before I picked it up, or, if it was a simple oversight, they would of taken care of while I was there picking up my new $83k+ truck.
- The first issue was super minor. There was some small foam sticking up from the driver side hood vent that could of cleaned carefully with a razor (watch the paint!) or by removing the piece and reattaching it. This is something I was told my local dealer could take care of.
- The second and bigger yet still small in the grand scheme of things issue, was the black trim/bezel on my HUD was popped up on the left side. And when I say popped up, I mean you could place 2 quarters in the gap. That was a glaring miss and when I asked about that, the response was that the trucks are built so quickly these days that sometimes things like this are missed. My response was I would of assumed before Granger delivered a brand new vehicle that this would of be taken care of but was told that its covered under warranty and again, my local dealer would take care of it for me. While I agree my local dealership would take care of it, that's not the point. Then, it dawned on me that I don't believe Granger has the resources to take care of these types of issues. I had to drive 20 hours and 1400 miles back home with a janky looking dash/hud area but was still happy to have my truck. I know its FCA fit and finish but again, I would of expected that to be corrected before I ever say the vehicle as it was a obvious glaring issue.
So, in summary, and I hope this is helpful for those of you who are still looking to pick up your trucks, simply set or reset your expectations of what Granger Motors can and can't do for you when you see your truck for the first time. Know that any issues you don't expect to see with the truck will have to be taken care of by your local dealer. And while that may not be an issue for some, my previous experiences buying new vehicles regardless of price has been much different, and better experience at every other dealership. I was asked to leave all 10s on the post purchase survey we'll all receive and while I could do so for the pricing and service Shelby provided (she was the ONLY person who actually introduced herself when I arrived by the way) I can't possibly do so for anything else related to the purchase of it.
